It’s hard to know how many of the teams with this ownership are teams that people have given up on but certainly going without Payet and Griezmann against Iceland could have quite serious implications on your ranking if they are successful.  Obviously if you’re playing in your mini league then to some extent you can see who your competition owns anyway although transfers could change that.

My view of the likely winners of the quarters and the effect on transfer decisions

There’s only 6 transfers each for the Semi’s and the final so a bias in your transfer selections is important.  Although you have 6 transfers and a bench of 3 plus the GK then backing the winners will give you a better chance of fielding a full team and a bench that contains potential substitutes.

Personally I think the 4 winners will be in order of likelihood, France, Belgium, Germany and Portugal

If you have a wildcard the decision on whether to use it now will depend on the amount of players you have who have exited the tournament and the amount of players you have in the teams you think will win and want in your quarter final team.

It’s also worth having a spread of players not only to avoid the eggs in one basket theory but also for substitutions and captain changes if required.

I personally have 6 players, 2 of which are GKs not playing in the quarters.  I’ll then compare that to the players I want in my quarter final team and how it will look if the teams I think will win do.

That’s it next I will put forward some McDonalds transfer options and do an article on my team.
