Sky Sports Fantasy Football – Reigning champion Dan Cox reveals his team and plans for GW38

At first glance it looks pretty straight forward in the captaincy planning with some of the game’s big hitters facing favourable fixtures.

If you’re looking to play it safe with the most likely captains and highest point scorers over the three days, then it would be Mohamed Salah on Saturday, Kevin De Bruyne on Sunday and then Harry Kane on Monday.

I personally will most likely go down this route as I try and solidify a top-25 finish to back up last season’s win, which I never really imagined I’d be able to achieve.

With only one transfer left in the bank, I doubt I’ll make any moves this weekend but it is all about being ready to react to team news.

That was certainly the case last weekend, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being benched on Sunday meaning I had to abandon my Aubameyang to Cenk Tosun move on Monday.

I reacted by rushing Gabriel Jesus in ahead of the Swansea game to have a strong captain for the day and had further sweating to do as the Brazilian enjoyed an eventful game, missing a penalty, which fortunately ended up as an assist, picking up shots bonus points and then finally finding the net.

In hindsight that was a good move with Tosun failing to score on Monday, although unfortunately that didn’t save me from watching what proved to be a very forgettable encounter.

Here’s how my side is set for the weekend, with Andreas Christensen’s place on Chelsea’s bench for their FA Cup semi-final a concern, while I’ll also be ready to switch my captaincy if Mohamed Salah is rested between Champions League semi-final clashes with Roma.
