Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure was the most transferred in player during Sky Sports Fantasy Football’s overhaul period – with team-mate Richarlison the most transferred out.

After his four-goal haul at Leicester, it was little surprise to see Sergio Aguero closely follow Doucoure, while Nick Pope completed the top three popular signings despite Burnley’s decline in form.

Phil Jones was unsurprisingly removed from many teams due to his injury, but Joe Gomez was the unexpected name to complete that top three, having returned 106 points for £6.5m this season.

With the overhaul period coming to an end on Saturday at 12.30pm, here’s a quick glance at who was going which way – and whether you should copy some of the moves before this weekend’s games.

Top five incomings

Doucoure’s seven goals and three assists have made him one of the season’s surprise packages, widely expected to move onto a bigger club this summer as a result.

Scoring 130 points and costing just £7m, he has been one of the game’s biggest bargains, as has goalkeeper Pope, ranking third on the transferred in table after scoring 139 points for £5.5m.

However, his popularity is something of a surprise, with Burnley sat bottom of the form table after two draws and three losses from their last five games – resulting in just 17 points for Pope in that time.

After returning 29 points last time out against Leicester, Aguero was only a shade less popular than Doucoure – having also scored 24 points against Newcastle three games prior.

Completing the top five were Roberto Firmino and Eden Hazard, the latter having scored 48 points in his last four outings, while Firmino has been involved in five goals in his last five Premier League games and has a kind fixture list coming up with Liverpool – Manchester United aside.

Top five outgoings

Richarlison surprisingly topped this list, having scored five goals and provided eight assists this season to score 120 points. However, Doucoure’s popularity perhaps provides the answer to this question.

The Frenchman is £0.6m cheaper and has scored more than double the points Richarlison has in his last five games, and so many managers may have swapped the latter for the former.

Jones’ removal was understandable given his injury, as was the popularity of transferring out Ahmed Hegazi. The Baggies’ defender got off to a flying start this season, returning 31 points in his first two games, but has since been a liability in Sky Sports Fantasy Football due to West Brom’s drop to the foot of the table.

Two surprises completed this top five, including Liverpool’s Gomez. The World Cup hopeful hasn’t started either of the last two Premier League games, but has been a regular all season and scored 10 points against Huddersfield Town last time he featured.

The most shocking inclusion though was that of Raheem Sterling. Enjoying his best scoring season to date, with 15 goals added to by nine assists, the Man City man was the fourth most transferred out player this week – a decision many managers, you would imagine, will live to regret.
