Here’s our Sky Sports fantasy football tips article where we look at the FFGeeks team progress and also look ahead 5 gameweeks to help with your captain planning and player selection

SKY SPORTS FANTASY FOOTBALL TIPS – THE FFGEEK TEAM AND LOOKING AHEAD TO NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER

Firstly here’s the FFGeek team. Things continue to go well.   I’ve got 820 points and currently in 589 position overall. I think there’s about 2 million teams in Sky so it’s a pretty good position at the moment.

Here’s the team:

The key to Sky is to plan your captains properly. The ability to change captains for each game day means that if you put the planning in and remember to do your transfers then you have a major edge if you’re playing in a work league for example.  It’s a real pain to do so.  I set alarms on my phone all the time which as you can imagine is a source of alot of stick.

I’ve decided to cover the majority of the gamedays with 4/5 potential captains in 5 or 6 week blocks and try and limit transfers to a few a month based on injuries, captain picks and loss of position rather than hasty form changes. Those 4 with captain potential at the moment are Aguero, Sanchez, Austin, Firmino and Hazard.

The other 2 attacking players I’ve tried to find value with tackle and bonus players. These are at the moment Arter, and Gueye. In defence I’ve tried to go for value in the top 7 teams and the cheapest save point GK.

I’ve got 24 transfers left.  I try to limit the use to 3 per month.  So including November I should have used only 12 but I’ve used 16 so need to keep my finger off the trigger as much as possible

THE FIXTURES AHEAD AND CAPTAIN PLANNING

So I’m looking 5 game weeks ahead to plan a captain change for each day.

My sense at the moment is that an Arsenal (Sanchez hopefully), Liverpool (Firmino), Man City (Aguero) Chelsea (Hazard) and a Southampton (Austin) player can cover the time frame. I’m going to outline the fixtures by days and put those in italics that aren’t covered.  You’ll see there’s only 1 game on a Monday on the 5 th December, Middlesboro v Hull.  At that stage I’ll probably transfer Shawcross out for a Boro defender

SATURDAY 19 NOVEMBER

C PAL V MAN CITY

SUNDAY 20 NOVEMBER

MBORO V CHELSEA

MONDAY 21 NOVEMBER

WBA v BURNLEY

SATURDAY 26 NOVEMBER

LIVERPOOL V SUNDERLAND
BURNLEY V MAN CITY

SUNDAY 27 NOVEMBER

ARSENAL V BOURNEMOUTH

SATURDAY 3 DECEMBER

C PAL V SOUTHAMPTON
W HAM V ARSENAL

SUNDAY 4 DECEMBER

BOURN V LIVERPOOL

MONDAY 5 DECEMBER

MIDDBORO V HULL (no captain at the moment)

SATURDAY 10 DECEMBER

ARSENAL V STOKE

SUNDAY 11 DECEMBER

CHELSEA V WBA
LIVERPOOL V W HAM

TUESDAY 13 DECEMBER

EVERTON V ARSENAL

WEDNESDAY 14 DECEMBER

MAN CITY V WATFORD

SATURDAY 17 DECEMBER

C PAL V CHELSEA

SUNDAY 18 DECEMBER

BOURN V SOUTHAMPTON
MAN CITY V ARSENAL

MONDAY 19 DECEMBER

EVERTON V LIVERPOOL

So my 5 player captain cover does all the days except for 1 gameday.  As I said I’ll probably hold Shawcross and transfer him out for a Middleboro defender on that day with the fixture being Middlesboro v Hull

TRANSFER IDEAS

Here’s 3 pass and tackle mids to fill some gaps at varying prices

Henderson £8.9m.  72 points.  He’s top of both the tackles and pass stats.  Only 6 players have more points.  Of those 6 only Joe Allen is cheaper.  However with Henderson he will keep the points ticking over through passes and tackles whereas Joel Allen is less secure points wise

Romeu Southampton £7.4m 49 points

Gueye Everton £7.5m 50 points

That’s it hope it gives you some food for thought for your transfers

IF I COULD USE 11 TRANSFERS

Here’s what my team would be:

GK:   Heaton £5.8m

DEF:  Stones £7.9m, Alonso £7.9m, Friend £6.3m

MIDFIELD:  Hazard £11.2m, Coutinho £10.7m, Henderson £8.9m, Gueye £7.5m, Walcott £9.4m

FORWARDS:  Aguero £13.0m, Austin £9.8m

That’s it hope it gives you some food for thought for your transfers
