KEY

1. Rank: My view of their rank given the various stats
2. Cost: Their cost in Sun Dream Team
3. Points; The total points to last year in Sun Dream Team
4. The points per game: The total points divided by the games played. The higher the better. The Sun Dream Team supplies games including sub appearances which makes the information a bit distorted.
5. European competetions the team is in.
6. The % of 7+ plus awards of their total games. This gives a general indication of Sun Dream Teams view of the player
7. The % of Starman awards. Again this gives a general view of the players starman potential
8. Fixture ease. This is the rank of how easy their fixtures are to the 2nd transfer window. If you remember the article then it groups teams by how many of the lower placed teams of last year are in the games to the first transfer window.

Hazard

Even within the star studded Chelsea team he still stands out with Starman awards.  This year he will have pens to add to his scoring.  Costa should add to the goals he contributes to but will his presence reduce the Star Man awards

Ramsey

The box to box sensation of last season.  No World Cup so has had full rest and proper pre-season.  Can he repeat it?  The Community shield showed how deadly he can be on the break.  Also has the ability to find space in a structured attack.  2 additional games in Champs League qualifying which after rest he’s sure to play

YYT

Speaking of box to  box sensations, YYT’s season last year was incredible.  Will have pens while Aguero working up to fitness but premier league fixtures aren’t easy to start.

Silva

His heavy involvement in the game and silky skills are a real favourite wuith Sun Dream Team as you can see from his 7+ and starman scores.  Doesn’t score enough which is the big issue differentiating him from say YYT. Tricky fixtures to start with but Man City are a difficult team to ignore

Fabregas

An interesting one this.  There;s no doubting his skill and ability but how many goals he will score from a deep position is questionable as he’s not a YYT or Ramsey type player but more creative.  Still will have some direct free kick representation to help the goal tally.  However he’s all class and will play a number of games.

Lamela

This is an interesting one.  No doubt about his class after a good scoring and assist record at Roma and that he’s represented Argentina at International level.  However last year was a form and injury disaster.  However he could have not have had a better pre-season and seems to have captured the CAM position.  Much more sympathetic coach in his countryman Poccetinho.

Nasri

Stats are pretty good for Sun Dream Team and looks like he will hold his place even if subbed alot for Navas.  Fixtures aren’t great but City score no matter what the opposition

Eriksen

Questions about his central position as Lamela seems to have that.  However set piece domination will see returns conyinue.  He also has found the ability to score even if out wide as he was at the end of last season

Mata

No European competition but at the end of last year looked like the player who got Star Man awards in the warm up.  Used to be a real Sun Dream Team favourite and could be worth a gamble in the early Sun Dream Team fixtures

Gerrard

I’ve rated Gerrard quite low considering his Star Man and 7+ stats for Sun Dream Team.  However may find his returns diluted without the Suarez effect and resulting pens.  May also be rotated for the easy games now theyre in the Champions League
