One of the factors to take into account in Sun Dream Team transfer window 1 is fixtures. We’ll look at again here on 3 levels. Which teams will play European games and therefore extra fixtures, and secondly which teams have the easiest premier league games to transfer window 2. The third part is the Capital One cup and any implications of that. This transfer window closes on the 12 September and the games that count are to the 2nd transfer window closes on the 21
November. That’s where we’ll focus to. Remember you have 3 transfers and can change your transfers during the week if you change your mind.
sun dream team 2015/16 tips – teams with the best fixtures to transfer window 2
Which competitions involve which teams?
Up to transfer window 2 there are the following competitions ongoing:
1. The premier league. There are 8 fixtures up to tranfers window 2
2. The Europa League. There are 4 extra fixtures up to transfer window 2. ( Liverpool and Tottenham)
3. The Champions League. There are 4 extra fixtures up to transfer window 2. (Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal)
4. The Capital One Cup. There are 2 extra fixtures up to transfer window 2 (All premier league teams except Watford went through)
Just a reminder of the basics. Transfer Window 2 closes on November 21. However there are only 3 transfers for us to use in the transfer window 1 which closes on the 12 September. There’s also the emergency transfer after September 12 and before November 10 2015. I’ll probably save that as an injury/selection transfer though.
We’ll look at the competitions and teams in turn and how they affect the time up to transfer window 2
Below though is a summary table which shows the premier league fixtures in order of easiness. I’ve taken the analysis from another advice site which runs a fixture schedule. I’ts just for the premier league though. I’ve then added which teams have which additional fixtures (although with the Cap One 2 fixtures depends on winning the first) through the other competitions up to the next transfer window:
Middlesbrough v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Norwich City v West Bromwich Albion
Hull City v Swansea City
Leicester City v West Ham United
Aston Villa v Birmingham City
Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal
Manchester United v Ipswich Town
Liverpool v Carlisle United
Crystal Palace v Charlton Athletic
Fulham v Stoke City
Sunderland v Manchester City
Newcastle United v Sheffield Wednesday
Reading v Everton
Preston North End v Bournemouth
Walsall v Chelsea
Milton Keynes Dons v Southampton
Summary
- Europa League teams of Spurs and Liverpool have tough groups. That maybe a good thing and limit rotation. Pick players with little rotation options
- The Champions League has less rotation due to importance of the competition and quality of the other teams.
- The capital one cup will be loaded with player rotation. Stoke, Swansea, Everton and Palace who may take it seriously have good fixtures to get through to the next round
- In the premier league the European teams of Man City by far and away have the best fixtures Arsenal and Man City the most difficult.
