The basics are simple. High ownership players if you dont own them will hurt your ranking or mini league ranking if you don’t own them. Here are the 5 highest owned players in Sun Dream Team and the risks or mitigating circumstances in not owning them. The idea is to own those who present too much risk to avoid ranking falls and get the other picks right.
Costa (64%)
The only mitigation here is the fact that he’s suspended for 2 games. He’s got a great PPG and a high starman and 7+%. Chelsea have also got a good run of fixtures and he is the end product of their attacks and pretty irreplaceable. A very risky player not to own
Sterling (49%)
Absolutely loved by Sun Dream Team with a very high starman and 7+%. Also has potentially 4 extra fixtures in the Europa League as well as being in the FA Cup. The mitigation is the return of Sturridge meaning that he wont play striker and will also be a rival for Starman awards. He also has struggled to score goals. Still a risky player not to own
Sanchez (49%)
Another player absolutely loved by Sun Dream Team with a ridiculously high 7+% and Starman %. Can be deadly especially at home. Has great fixtures as well as a good champions league draw. Mitigation is his hamstring injury which will see him miss 1 game definitely maybe 2. That may also see some rotation. Risky not to own but injury may make others sell.
Aguero (35%)
Great premier league fixtures. Has struggled since coming back from injury but on his day can be lethal. Hasn’t had the ratings you’d expect but any day can score any amount. Very dangerous not to own.
Fabregas (35%)
Despite being a quality player key to Chelsea he doesn’t really score many goals due to a mainly deep lying position. Also not really served that well on the 7+% and Starman awards. Personally I think the risk of not owning him can be managed.
