Here’s a quick article on Sun Dream Team. There is an international break after this weekend so the round up will be far more comprehensive then but this is to just give you some quick thoughts so far on November
THE FFGEEK TEAMS
TEAM 1
Points: 625 Overall rank: 330 Team value £59.4m +£0.2m ITB = £59.6m
Team 1 couldn’t be going much better with an overall rank of 330 out of 2m or so teams. I’m only 70 points or so from the overall leader. It does have 1 obvious problem of an injured Robert Snodgrass in the team. Without using 2 transfers there’s no obvious way of dealing with him. Stekelenburg has a foot injury but is expected back this week. The Arsenal Ludogorets match in Bulgaria does give some immediate potential depending on the team lineup but I’m reluctant to use 2 transfers just before the international break and there’s no one standing out to be sold. Out of the players I can afford Tadic seems the best bet although a quick look at his stats suggest he’s a Sun Dream Team disaster area. However he does have a few additional fixtures although it’s certainly not an easy schedule of fixtures.
TEAM 2
Points: 569 Overall rank: 11,512 Team value £56.1m +£0.3m ITB = £56.4m
So this team is also doing ok but has a few more issues. Jakupovic has to go as he’s lost his place. Davies is also 2nd choice although full backs in the European competitions will always get games due to rotation and the 2nd choice probably will get the easier ones. Shaw looks safer after the injury to Bailly. The attacking 6 look good although a little Chelsea heavy. However it’s hard to argue with 2 players in such good form. Stekelenburg is the obvious choice but the injury isn’t ideal. He would also need another transfer to facilitate a move. That could be Davies but he should play midweek against Bayer Leverkusen. Out of the picks in the price range Foster looks the best of them. However if you swapped Davies for someone like Friend of Boro you could then get Forster of Southampton or gamble on Stekelenburg’s fitness.
NOVEMBER
November has gameweek 11 over this week and the weekend. This week has European fixtures and the weekend Premier League games. Then there’s a 2 week international break with games resuming on the 19th. The European games are then midweek after that followed by the premier league games on the weekend of the 26th. After that weekend there’s the EFL quarters which involve 6 premier league teams
