Sun Dream Team – FFGeek league winner of last season shows his team and transfers for TW1

With transfer tinker time nearly up, its time to make my final decisions. I’ve pondered on what to do and who to take out since the window opened, and think I’ve finally made my mind up.

Just to recap this was my team although Caulker was swapped for Smalling using my emergency transfer which left £2m in the bank.

For a quick recap, I had 5 players who I was thinking of changing. These were pantillimon, ivanovic, hazard, Walcott and mane. As only 3 could go, and maybe 1 more when the emergency transfer opens again, it was a question of which 3.   I did see Silva wasn’t playing this week, but Pellegrini saying he’ll be back next week. If he’s out much longer than that, I can always use my emergency transfer. At the minute, I don’t think its worth keeping other people in my team to take him out.

As I definitely wanted Aguero, Walcott was definitely going, so I could accommodate him, but I was £0.5M short, even with the £2M I had in the bank.

This meant an expensive player needed to go, in order to free up funds. This meant straight choice between Ivanovic and Hazard. As I’m convinced Hazard will come good before long, Ivanovic it was. Ideally I would have straight swapped him for Kompany, but instead I’ve gone for Kolarov, firstly to save a bit of money, but also with Clichy injured, Kolarov should play every week. Kompany could be rotated in some league matches in my opinion.

The final transfer then was either Pantillimon or Mane, with £1.5M in the bank. After much consideration, I decided to take Mane out, for a midfielder playing in Europe, to take advantage of the extra games. Then it was a question of who. I eventually decided on DeBruyne, just because of Man City’s fixtures.

This means I’ve got 3 Man City attackers in my team, which I don’t find ideal, but with there form and fixtures, I’ll take the gamble.

Here’s the final team then and just to recap the transfers were:

Walcott out for Aguero in

Ivanovic out for Kolarov in

Mane out for De Bruyne

My team now, is Pantillimon, Kolarov, Smalling, Clyne, Bellerin, Hazard, Silva, DeBruyne, Aguero, Rooney and Benteke. Nothing in the Bank.

This gives me 10 players with a possible 4 extra European matches, including all of my attackers.

When the emergency transfer window opens again, Pantillimon will be the one im looking to change, but that will depend on Rooneys form, and Bentekes place in the team when sturridge is fit, as well as any injuries that happen.

I’m not overly happy with my team still at the minute, and would love an Arsenal attacker in there, but hopefully with the changes I’ve done, I’ll start to improve my ranking, and can start thinking towards transfer window 2.

Thanks Simon and Good Luck
