Here’s a quick overview before we get into the fixture and stat articles for the month on Sun Dream Team on how the 2 FFGeek teams are doing and where likely changes could be made
Sun Dream Team – the FFGeek team performance so far
FFGEEK TEAM PERFORMANCE
Team 1
Points: 445 Overall rank: 1,268 Team value £56m +£1.1m ITB = £57.1m
Apart from Barkley everything that could have gone right has gone right. Even Fonte who I thought was a total disaster has turned the corner and looks like part of one of the best defensive teams in the PL. At the moment I’m incredibly only 70 odd points from 1st place overall. My transfers have been very lucky and even taking out Aguero for his suspension didn’t hit me like I expected it to.
At the moment the only weak link is Barkley and he has to go. The other is Shaw who I think maybe lucky to get back into the United team once he is fit. If I couldn’t move him he would play in the Europa and the domestic cups so it wouldn’t be a total loss. The other is a function of Priority number 1. Getting Aguero back. He’s a ridiculous £10.3m but I’m definitely buying. He’s just too good not to have and if the price continues to go up. (He’s £2.3m up already) then he will just continue to be more unaffordable.
To do that Ibrahimovic and Shaw and Barkley need to leave gives. Ibrahimovic out Aguero in leaves me £4m for the defender and midfielder replacement. So with that money the choices will be a bit short term and based on a good set of PL fixtures coming up to at least minimise points and team value damage. My options are Holebas and Kahzri of Sunderland. Both of whom have good fixtures although Khazri I’m worried about gametime. The other choice is Stoke CB Martins Indi and Snodgrass of Hull although Redmond of Southampton and Bolasie of Everton are also options.
I hasten to add that these are initial thoughts and not researched at the moment. I would like more Arsenal representation but that would have to come at a sacrifice of Aguero
Here’s my winners and losers on team value at the minute although not all the lost value has been when in my team:
Lukaku +£1.6m. Sanchez + £1.9m Payet + £1,0m Coutinho +£0.9m. No losses apart from Stekelenburg -£0.3m and Barkley -£0.7m
Team 2
Points: 391 Overall rank: 65,991 Team value £53.1m +£2.1m ITB = £55.2m

So not a disaster but alot of issues to be sorted. Not only how to get Aguero in but also Barkley, Shaw, Terry, Jakupovic and Davies. Hazard also isn’t helpful but him and Ibra would give an easy way of getting Aguero in.
The value winners are Costa +£1.4m. Sanchez + £1.9m Coutinho +£0.9m. Loads of losses though Jakupovic -£0.6m, Barkley -£0.7m, Hazard -£0.6m
