I’ve now set up a Sun Dream Team league and as you had to to create a team to do set up an account Ive done a 15 minute team. It was done at pace and will change so please dont give me too much stick about it
Firstly here’s the Sun Dream Team league details. By the way I find the Sun Dream Team site processes quite tricky so if I get this wrong please tell me and I’ll attempt to fix it. Last year I found it so difficult that one of the other league members set it up form me! No prizes by the way

Here’s my 15 minute team with a few comments. For the sake of the team I’ve assumed that Bale has gone to Madrid and not selected him. Ive also gone 4-4-2 as points are in the midfielders in my experience
Mignolet £3.0m
I dont normally say you should spend loads of money on your GK but Mignolet is so cheap its hard to resist and it saves getting any defensive coverage of Liverpool. He’s only £1m more than Jass of West Ham. So he’s in the team
Azpilicueta £4.0m
Not the ideal coverage of the Chelsea defence especially as he may miss the first game being in Ecudaor on the Wednesday but he is cheaper than the rest of the Chelsea defence and you either want to play for clean sheets or other points. As you lose points for goals conceded Ive gone for the cheapest gametime secure options as far as possible. No one apart from Cole is secure gametime wise and even he will be rotated for the easier cup games.
Dawson £3.5m
Spurs are in the Europa league so coverage is definitely desirable. Dawson seems the best value in the defence and should get good gametime especially with Vertonghen injured
Sagna £3.5m
Again the cheapest secure option to get clean sheet points. A strong defence despite all the ill informed pundits criticism.
Chico £2.5m
With Swansea in the Europa League its one way of getting some cheap defensive coverage which will be made up by additional games against hopeless teams from Moldova etc
Mata £7.0m
Last years run away midfielder. Like Azpilicueta may miss the first game. I may end up switching to Hazard as there are some theories that Mourinho’s fast counter attacking style wont suit Mata but Ive yet to decide on that
Walcott £5.5m
It was a tricky decision here between Cazorla and Walcott. Arsenal have great fixtures to start and although Cazorla is more typical of the players that Sun Dream Team likes I’ve stuck with Walcott as he served me well last season
David Silva £5.5m
With Pellegrini’s more attacking stance and the lack of certainty over who the strikers will be, I’m putting my faith in Silva to have a return to his form of 2011/12. City have great fixtures to start with and are essential for any team.
Coutinho £4.0m
The sort of all player who runs a game that Sun Dream Team ratings and bonus points like, especially if Suarez goes. Should play behind the striker as well. Again Liverpool have great fixtures altough they dont have any European games which limits their attraction a little
RVP £8.0m
I’m still a believer as long as he stays the most advanced forward. The uncertainty over everyone else in the team and his set piece and penalty dutires means he should hog the Sun Dream Team star man awards and player ratings
Wilfried Bony £3.5m
With Swansea in the Europa league a Swansea Sun Dream Team attacking presence is necessary and last years top scorer in the Dutch league looks a good option. He’s already showed what he can do againt Malmo the other night with 2 goals
Thats it hope you found it interesting. New Spurs striker Soldado is a must for me depending on price as Spurs are in the Europa league (although there may be a rotation risk with Defoe in that competition) He’s not on Sun Dream Team yet though which is why I haven’t included him. In the week before GW1, I’ll be doing my Sun Dream Team “Ones to Watch articles” giving the best players in each position.
