There are 3 competitions in January and early February. Here’s the dates and gameweeks they fall in. We are now in gameweek 19. I would have liked to have done this article earlier but fixture congestion also affects me and the fantasy premier league stuff was a real time drainer

A round of premier league games plus FA Cup 3rd round
After tonight all premier league teams except Spurs and Chelsea will have played and all players apart from those teams will be locked
Gameweek 20 Monday 9th Jan to Sunday 15th Jan
A round of premier league games plus EFL semi first leg between Man Utd v Hull and Southampton v Liverpool
Gameweek 21 Monday 16th Jan to Sunday 22nd Jan
A round of premier league games
Gameweek 22 Monday 23 Jan to Sunday 29th Jan
Just the 2nd leg EFL reverse semis
Gameweek 23 Monday 30 Jan to Sunday 5th Feb
2 rounds of the premier league
THE TRANSFER RULES
Effectively once a team has played in the gameweek anyone from that team whether they have played or not will be locked for the rest of the gameweek and you will not be able to transfer him in or out of your team. Afetr tonight’s games start only Spurs and Chelsea players will be eligible for transfers in or out until they play tomorrow. A shame from the FA Cup perspective

A Manager will not be able to transfer a player in or out if the Football club that player plays for has already played in that Game Week. They will have to wait until the next Game Week starts to process that transfer. See below for more information:

The teams highlighted in grey will be locked after tonights games kick off. The teams in Aqua? (is it?) will be locked after tomorrows games kick off. The rest are already locked (apologies)

Bournemouth – Stanislas mid £4.6m. Wilshere mid £2.3m has some value growth potential but is ineligible at the weekend against Arsenal
Arsenal – Sanchez forward £10.4m, Walcott £5.8m when fit, Giroud forward at £5.0m if he lines up tonight
Spurs – Kane £7.7m forward, mid Eriksen £6.1m, Alli mid £5.1m, Alderweireld def £5.1 if lines up tomorrow

Chelsea – Costa striker £9.8m, Hazard £9.0m, Fabregas mid £4.9m has upside now in the team, Alonso £6.8m def
