With the 1st transfer window now open, it’s time to start tinkering again, and to be honest, after my start, I’ve got a lot of tinkering to do. I’m currently on an extremely poor 138 points, and just about scrapping in the top 400,000.

Here’s my team at the moment although I started with Caulker instead of Smalling as just before week 2 started, with Caulker not playing in week 1, and Koeman saying he wouldn’t play week 2, I used my emergency transfer to take Caulker out, and put Smalling in.

Looking at my team now, I have players not playing, and players not performing to their usual standard. Pantillimon, Ivanovic, Hazard and Walcott are the ones causing me most problems, but with Mane now out of Europe, that’s 5 players I need to look at.

So far, I have come up with 2 options to try and rescue my season. First option is take out Ivanovic, Walcott and Mane, and put in Kolarov, Ramsey and Aguero. This uses up all my money, and makes removing Pantillimon difficult, until the next transfer window.

Option 2 is take out Ivanovic, Hazard and Walcott, and put in Kompany, Pedro and Aguero. This leaves me £2m spare, meaning I could easily remove Pantillimon with an emergency transfer before the second window, but leaves me with a midfielder not playing in Europe.

Decisions, decisions. Will Chelsea’s poor form continue, and can I really not have Hazard? Will Man City’s defence keep on keeping clean sheets, especially with their tough champions league group?   Will Rooney finally show some decent form, European hat trick apart?

Having said all that, until the internationals are done with, and any injuries are known, nothing can be decided. I’ll make my final decisions a week on Friday probably, and hopefully start to improve.
