Sun Dream Team tips – FFGeek league winner Simon Rowley updates us on his team

After a promising start, during which I got into the top 32K, I’ve slipped back drastically the last few week, and currently sit 244,820th overall, with 364 points, with an overall value of £56M. My team as it stands is –

Obviously currently got KDB and Shaw injured, and Davies out the team now Rose is back. However, for me the most pressing transfer is getting Sanchez in my team, given his value increase and upcoming fixtures. To get him means sacrificing Zlatan or Firmino though (Aguero is going nowhere). A case can be made for either to go, or to stay, but at the moment I’m leaning towards Zlatan going.

KDB’s injury is a tricky one, as a definite return date hasn’t been announced, but with already having Sterling and Aguero, I’m tempted to swap him for Alli ( looks vastly under priced at £4.3M).

Davies looks a more pressing transfer than Shaw, so probably swap him for a Southampton defender (price increases almost certain for them, with their current form), probably Fonte.

Things I’ve learnt so far this season, in regard to the new rules, include form players value increases drastically, so get them in early. Out of form players ideally need taking out, as their value drop can seriously affect who you can replace them with. Ratings this year, still seem a bit hit and miss to me (although not as bad as last year!). The new transfer system, combined with the change to a Monday -Sunday game week, takes some getting used to, and careful planning. Overall I’m not 100% convinced the game is better for the changes they’ve made.

Like FFG, I post all transfers, as I do them, on twitter, follow me using @upthevale1 for them, and a weekly point, position and value update. I try to answer all tweets as quickly as possible, but apologies now if I can’t reply quick enough before a game week deadline, I do try though. Good luck to everyone.

Thanks Simon for the update much appreciated. Good luck for October
