Sun Dream Team tips – teams with the best fixtures

Sun Dream Team

Although the Sun Dream Team is no longer broken down into transfer windows the price movement that is now part of the game means that fixtures are still of importance.  The additional games that teams will play in Europe and the ease of PL fixtures will help determine player success.  Here we look at who’s playing when in the various competitions and rank the ease of their fixtures to come

Sun Dream Team tips – teams with the best fixtures

We’ll look at fixtures again here on 3 levels. Which teams will play European games and therefore extra fixtures, and secondly which teams have the easiest premier league games over 3 games and 6 games. The third part is the domestic cups which aren’t a big issue now but we’ll look at when they come into play.   Remember now you have 3 transfers per month including 3 in August.  Read our article on the rules to get more detail

Which competitions involve which teams?

1. The premier league. There are 3 fixtures in August and 3 in September

2. The Europa League. West Ham, Southampton and Man Utd.  More detail below

3. The Champions League. Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester City.  More detail below

4. The EFL Cup (formerly the Capital One Cup)

5.  The FA Cup

Below the further detail on the competitions though is a summary table which shows the premier league fixtures in order of easiness from an attacking point of view.  It’s just for the premier league though. I’ve then added which teams have which additional fixtures in the European competitions but first I’ll give you details of how those competitions work so you know the effect on individual teams.

So what does this mean?

You have to start with the basics.  The idea is to get points but also be aware of value changes given that were not really sure of how big an impact it’s going to be.

There’s 6 rounds of the premier league to the end of September and 6 transfers.  3 you can use before August.  That does give a reasonable amount of correction possibilities and means you can plan rather short term.  However it is a step into the unknown as it’s completely different than last season and far more hands on.

The extra competitions are a difficult one especially this early in the season.  Extra games are a bit of a mirage if it’s a reserve team that turns out in that game.  I expect the West Ham and Man City qualifiers to see near full teams and for the Champions League group stages to see near full teams subject to a normal amount of rotation.  The Europa League Group games and the EFL CUP games could see a reserve team.  For example and it’s an obvious one to make a point,  I can’t see Ibrahimovic starting in the Europa League or the EFL cup.

Man City, Man Utd and Spurs look good places to start for good fixtures in the premier league and extra games.  West Ham are also an immediate target.

That’s it.  Hope you found it useful.  We will be starting player articles soon
