Sun Dream Team tips – the best midfielders and strikers

Sun Dream Team

sunlogo2015

Here’s our round up for best midfielders and strikers for Sun Dream Team.  Again given the stage of the season were concentrating on the teams involved in European competitions.  We also look at the cheap fillers if you have a budget gap

Sun Dream Team tips – the best midfielders and strikers

Midfielders

Hazard (£7.0m) – He’s the most essential midfielder for me.  Does it all,  score and assists

Silva (£6.5m) – Scores and assists and the midfield attacking hub of the team.  Especially if he keeps playing centrally.

Depay (£4.0m) – A couple of extra games before transfer window 1 will be helpful.  Also his support striker role puts him in a great position for goals and assists.

Sterling (£5.0m) – Did very well last season and in a better team he should kick on as an option.  The watchout is if he’s stuck out wide

Ozil (£5.5m) – The central attacking midfielder for Arsenal who will spend alot of time on the ball and will benefit from the new assist points rule

Eriksen (£4.5m) – the set piece king and the main focus of Spurs attacking midfield

Mane (£3.0m) – How much he will be rotated is the question during the Europa League but the extra games before transfer window 1 will be a big attraction

Firmino (£4.0m) – Will take some time to start after the Copa America but has the creative and scoring qualities to be a strong  Sun Dream Team player

Ramsey (£4.5m) – Can he get a regular place in the team and get back to his goal scoring ways is the question

Cazorla (£5.0m) – Heavily involved in the play but whether will score enough even with pens is the question

Walcott (£4.5m) – Alot of potential but alot of risk over position and gametime when Sanchez is back

Milner (£3.0m) – An all action midfielder who could benefit from ratings and has shown some goal potential in pre-season

Tadic (£3.0m) – Has pens and a strong assist provider at a good price.  Definitely an option for the first phase of game before transfer window 1

Chadli (£3.0m) – A little lazy defensively and not that involved but really knows where the goal is

Here’s some cheapies if you need to fill in anywhere

Surman Bournemouth (£1.0m) – Won’t get many points playing in the 2 of 4-2-3-1 but should play each game

Ritchie Bournemouth (£1.5m) – The creative and goalscoring focus of the Bournemouth team.  Should get good ratings and be in the mix for man of the match awards

Lens Sunderland (£1.5m) – Should be the attcking star of the Sunderland team who have good fixtures early on

Mahrez (£1.5m) – Should play CAM for Leicester who also have good fixtures early on

Payet (£2.0m) – will be the creative hub of the West Ham side and be very involved in set pieces.

Strikers

Aguero (£7.0m) – Some confusing messages today as to whether he will start but the only question is whether you put him in now or in the first transfer window

Rooney (£6.0m) –  Unless there’s another striker bought he will lead the line for Man Utd.  A proven premier league goal scorer

Kane (£5.0m) – whether he will play in the Europa League is a question but following on from a great season

Sanchez (£6.5m) – Back late from Copa America.  A proven performer from last season but probably one for transfer window 1.

Costa (£6.5m) – Ongoing injury problems are the main negative here and the resultant lack of extra games it will most likely bring.  If he is ever fit then he’s very dangerous

Pelle (£3.0m) – Great value but a question over how many extra Europa League games he will play.  Koeman at least will want to win it though which gives him a chance.  Probably one to put in this phase rather than transfer window 1 if you’re going to put him in

Benteke (£4.5m) – Should be the focal point of Liverpools attack until Sturridge is  back. Some good fixtures there

Here’s some cheap options:

Jerome Norwich (£1.5m) – one if you really are pushed for cash.  Hard to see that there won’t be another purchase though

Wilson Bournemouth (£2.0m) – Great record in the Championship and should remain the main attacking force in the side

Murray Crystal Palace (£2.0m) – has fantastic stats from last season but alot of competition for places is the risk

Jordan Ayew A Villa (£2.0m) – A good record in France and as a Ghana international.  Good fixtures early on for Villa

Deeney Watford (£2.0m) – Like Wilson had a great record in the Championship.  Doesn’t have the good fixtures to start though that Wilson has

I’ll post my final team tomorrow and hopefully Simon Rowley will also be doing it
