KEY:

1. Rank: My view of their rank given the various stats
2. Cost: Their cost in Sun Dream Team
3. PPG 14/15:   The total points divided by the games played for 14/15. The higher the better. The Sun Dream Team supplies games including sub appearances which makes the information a bit distorted.
4. Extra Comps:  The additional competetions the team is in apart from the Premier league.  UCL is the Champions League and EL is the Europa League. C1 is the Capital One.  I haven’t mentioned the FA Cup as every premier league team starts in the 3rd round
6. The % of 7+ plus awards of their total games.  This gives a general indication of Sun Dream Teams view of the player.  Again sub appearances will distort this negatively
7. The % of Starman awards.Again this gives a general view of the players starman potential
8. Fixture ease. This is the rank of how easy their fixtures are to the 3rd transfer window. If you remember the article then it groups teams by how many of the lower placed teams of last year are in the games to the first transfer window.  1st tier is the best fixtures

Hazard

Incredible to think that the Chelsea attacking midfielder is the top point scoring midfielder when he really hasn’t had the goal reward in the premier league that his form has deserved.  His importance to the Chelsea team is shown by the fact that he’s started every premier league game.  Probably won’t play the extra games for the Capital One.  Great starts all round with PPG and Starman and 7+ percentage.  Chelseas fixtures are tricky which is the only negative but they’ve shown their attacking ability thats for sure this season

Siggy

Some reasonable fixtures amongst the tricky onnes.   No extra competitions but Siggy benefits from being the attacking midfield focal point of the Swansea team and when on song a natural beneficiary of the bonus points.

Sterling

Shunted out to the flank in recent games has seen a real dip in his form.  However Liverpool overall have good premier league fixtures and are in 2 additional competitions. Even if they go out of the Champions League they still could go through to the Europa League.  How many extra games he will play though is questionable given Rodgers statements about not wanting to burn him out.  Will benefit from Sturridges return.  Could even play centrally if Rodgers goes with 2 strikers

Tadic

Absolutely loved by Sun Dream Team despite only scoring 1 goal in the premier league.  But the fixtures are really about to turn  in to comparison to fixtures that have so far been fantastic.  The good news is that they potemtially have 3 extra fixtures in the Capital One and should play a full team in the FA Cup.  Can he keep up the good form thats the question.  Ironiocally there seems so much more to come and if anything he’s been unlucky not to produce more.  The good news also is that he’s very cheap.  Should have pens.

Di Maria

Fantastic player who dominates set pieces and is an eye catching player.  Has been a little hit and miss in the eyes of the Sun Dream Team judges.  The main question is whether he can score enough from a reasonably deep starting position.  No extra games until the FA Cup

Downing

Has been one of the real surprise packages so far this season.  Been the creative heart of the West Ham team from a new CAM position.  Only scored 2 goals though and there’s room for improvement there.  Much does depend on him holding that position.  The risk is that he is shunted out wide for crosses to Andy Carroll.  However given that Skho and Valencia have been a revelation apart from Downings form itself that doesn’t look like an immediate issue

Barkley

Been coming back from injury with some sub appearances which have distorted his stats and has played some games from a wide position rather than the CAM position of last season.  Also the midfield of Everton is one place where Everton can afford to rotate. Does have the potential to shine though given his talent.  Also The Europa League has potential for a number of additional games in the long term

Oscar

Has shown some good form recently and also looks like one of Mourinho’s essentials having started the last 6 premier league games which resulted in 3 goals.  Plays centrally in an advanced position.  Fixtures are difficult but there are a number of extra games through the Champions League and the Capital one. The Capital One though could see him rested.

Chadli

Spurs rather bloated squad has meant the additional fixtures from the Europa League aren’t really of any benefit to a number of players in the squad.  Chadli being 1 who hasn’t benefited.  However they also do have the Capital One although that could also be a rotation option for Chadli.  6 goals though in the Premier league so far is incredible form.  For some reason doesn’t seem to have got the reward he should have done from the Sun Dream Team raters.

Montero

Anyone who saw him abolutely killing Callum Chambers last week will know that he has the potential to star in the premier league.  A multitude of sub appearances  since joining Swansea have distorted his stats.  However started the last 3 and has been in great form.  Still a gametime risk though with Dyer and Routledge the wingers in the squad who have started most games so far this season
