Sun Dream Team transfer window 2 tips – the best midfielders

Here’s a table of stats.  By the way I added Coutinho after I got some “feedback” in the comments below for people to consider additionally

KEY:

1. Rank: My view of their rank given the various stats
2. Cost: Their cost in Sun Dream Team
3. PPG 15/16:   The total points divided by the games started for 14/15. The higher the better. The Sun Dream Team supplies games including sub appearances which makes the information a bit distorted.
4. Extra Comps:  The additional competitions the team is in apart from the Premier league.  UCL is the Champions League and EL is the Europa League. C1 is the Capital One.
6. The % of 7+ plus awards of their total games.  This gives a general indication of Sun Dream Teams view of the player.
7. The % of Starman awards.Again this gives a general view of the players starman potential
8. Fixture ease. This is the rank of how easy their fixtures are to the 2nd transfer window.

De Bruyne

Sensational start to the season and looks a secure selection although will be subject to rotation like every midfielder for City.  Has some set piece responsibility while Silva injured

Ozil

Has really shown some sensational form for Arsenal recently after a very slow start.  Refreshed by not being involved in the International break which will hopefully mitigate an injury history.  Playing in the influential CAM position.  Doesn’t score much is the negative but the new assist points has helped him

Eriksen

The most influential attacking hub of the Spurs team.  Drifts in from the flank to run the midfield.  Has all the set piece responsibility.  Ratings are disappointing but should improve with fixtures.  Played draining Euro 2016 play off games unfortunately over the Int break

Deulofeu

Another player in great recent form.  Has seemingly nailed his spot.  A couple of risks though.  Martinez has a number of midfield options and Deulofeus lack of defensive discipline gives some gametime risk over such a long phase of Sun Dream Team.  Can also be a little periphery on the flank and has been subbed alot prior to the 90 minutes which isn’t helpful too.  The positive is the excitement he generates and his explosiveness.

Barkley

The CAM of the side at the moment and that in itself gives him a strong influence of the game and involvement.  Played the 90 minutes in every league game as well this season.  An 85% 7+ rating also shows how much the Sun Dream Team love him too.  Main negatives are the lack of European games although if they can get past the Middlesboro away quarter then 2 extra games beckon.  Infortunately form has dipped with only 1 goal in his last 7 premier league games. Everton will take the FA Cup seriously in January.

Willian

To have such a good 7+ rating when Chelsea have been so dire is a very good sign.  Having such strong set piece involvement also helps as well as a reasonable price.  Alot of attacking mids though means rotation and gametime/selection risk although started and played the 90 mins in the last 4 premier league games.

Mahrez

What can you say about his sensational start to the season.  Incredible it has been.  The nagging questions though are the lack of extra fixtures, the fixtures getting more difficult and continual substitutions.  Should have pens if he doesn’t hand them to Vardy.  Its whether you think we’ve seen the best of him.  The good news is that Leicester will take the FA Cup seriously when it comes in January

YYT

Considering Citys form his 7+ rating is a little disappointing.  Explosive, alot of extra fixtures but form and deep starting position (which will continue with Silvas return (if ever)) are the negatives

Mata

The one time Sun Dream Team darling is probably the only Man Utd midfield option.  However while he has shown patches of form his 7+ rating is disappointing and it’s not helped by LVGs selection tinkering and constant substitutions of him

Dembele

The price for a guy who’s playing CAM for a top 4 challenging team is fantastic.  2 goals in the 4 premier league starts since he got into the team is also excellent.  However it’s a long phase of Sun Dream Team to gamble that his selection and gametime will continue.  Chadli returning from injury may also change the make up of the attacking midfield.

Tadic

Plays on the flank and a bit of a substitution risk but an infuential player when on the pitch.  Also has pens which is a big bonus.  Tough Cap 1 quarter at home to Liverpool for the extra fixtures.  Southampton should take the FA Cup seriously though for 2 potential games in January

Note re Coutinho added later

You may have seen some “feedback” in the comment below re Coutinho

Here’s his stats:

Nameprice PPG PPG/£ Extra comp 7+% Star %Fixt Ease
Coutinho5.0 3.7 0.7 EL C1 46% 0%15

Does play as a CAM for Liverpool and has good extra competitions if can get past Saints in the Cap 1.  90 minute record good.  Poor start to the season and poor stats but 3 goals in the last 2 games has brought him attention
