Here’s a table of stats. I’ve ranked them but there are enough stats for you to draw your own conclusions.

KEY:

1. Rank: My view of their rank given the various stats
2. Cost: Their cost in Sun Dream Team
3. PPG 15/16: The total points divided by the games started for 15/16. The higher the better. I haven’t counted sub appearances. The Sun Dream Team supplies games including sub appearances which makes the information a bit distorted.
4. Extra Comps: The additional competitions the team is in apart from the Premier league. UCL is the Champions League and EL is the Europa League.  FAC is the FA Cup
6. The % of 7+ plus awards of their total games. This gives a general indication of Sun Dream Teams view of the player.
7. The % of Starman awards.Again this gives a general view of the players starman potential
8. Fixture ease. This is the rank of how easy their fixtures are to the end of the season for the premier league alone

Payet

One of the players of the season candidates in a team with everything to play for to the end of the season.  Has all set piece responsibility and the attacking hub of the team.  More of an assist based player but has an uncanny ability to get into the box in the right place which has seen a good goal tally

Mahrez

Speaking of player of the season candidates it’s impossible to over eulogise this mans year.  Just slowed down a bit as Leicester grind out results to the end of the season.

Ozil

The CAM of this Arsenal team that may not have any extra competitions but have good premier league fixtures and everything to play for starting with the premier league title but more realistically 3rd place.

Barkley

Loved by Sun Dream team despite a pretty inconsistent season and mixed output.  Does have the CAM position which gives him alot of attacking influence in the team though.

Firmino

Injured at the moment but apparently fit for the first game after the international break.  Found form after a slow start to the premier league.  Liverpool have a decent amount of extra fixtures but may rotate especially if any European place falls out of view

Coutinho

The other attacking midfielder in the Liverpool team is probably less of a goal scorer than Firmino but has the edge over creativity in assists.

Eriksen

The man with primary set piece responsibility for the title chasing Spurs team.  Also has the ability to get into the box and shoot from range.  Tough fixtures, pressure and no extra games are the limitations

Fabregas

This is about love from Sun Dream Team rather than any great attacking output.  Has been playing further upfield on occasions with Hiddink as the manager.  Has to be questions over Chelsea’s committment to win given their lack of targets for the rest of the season

Lanzini

Another player in the West Ham team who seems to have captured the love of sun dream team.  Very flamboyant player with an ability to score and create.

Wijnaldum

The best attacking midfielder in whats a pretty ordinary Newcastle team who have reasonable fixtures to the end of the season.

Silva

Not really shown any form and has a terrible injury record but with YYT injured he’s the only midfield option left for City.  With City desperate to secure a Champions league place and still in the Champions League he has the class to step up.  De Bruyne is supposedly fit but how much gametime he will get coming back from such a serious injury is the question.
