KEY:

1. Rank: My view of their rank given the various stats
2. Cost: Their cost in Sun Dream Team
3. PPG 14/15:   The total points divided by the games played for 14/15. The higher the better. The Sun Dream Team supplies games including sub appearances which makes the information a bit distorted.
4. Extra Comps:  The additional competitions the team is in apart from the Premier league.  UCL is the Champions League and EL is the Europa League. C1 is the Capital One.  FAC is the FA Cup.
6. The % of 7+ plus awards of their total games.  This gives a general indication of Sun Dream Teams view of the player.  Again sub appearances will distort this negatively
7. The % of Starman awards.Again this gives a general view of the players starman potential
8. Fixture ease. This is the rank of how easy their fixtures are to the 4th transfer window.

Hazard

Fantastic attacking player who pretty much leads the midfield stats in all categories.  Also has pens as a bonus.  Only risk is being rested if Chelsea win the league early

Silva

Has really come into his own in goal scoring this season.  Add that to the fact that Sun Dream Team have always loved him hence him leading the 7+ category for midfielders.  Should keep playing to the end as even 2nd isn’t secure for City

Cazorla

Has really come into his own in the 2nd half of this season with some outstanding performances.  Also Arsenal should have 2 additional fixtures in the FA Cup given their semi is against Reading.  He also has pens.  However has played a little deeper since Ozil came back into the team and that also has seen a reduction in set piece duties.  Also the return of Ramsey also gives him some competition for his place.  The premier league fixtures could also be better.

Eriksen

Has set piece duties and an attacking midfield role in the team.  Has been very inconsistent though going through purple patches and long spells of very little.

Ki

Ki has been the real surprise package of the midfield.  Despite playing in a deep position has really found the ability to get forward and score goals.  What is a good sign is his 7+ rating which shows he is liked by Sun Dream Team.  Whats more Swansea have some good fixtures to the end of the season.  The question marks are over his ability to keep scoring goals given that his 6 to date is twice the amount he has scored in the last 2 seasons.

Mata

The original Sun Dream Team darling is finally coming good.  It’s hard to believe that given  the stop start season he’s had that only Hazard and Silva have a better points per game than Mata.  The risks are simple though.  Gametime given that he has been out of favour for large parts of the season and given that Di Maria is on the sidelines and could come back into the team.  The 2nd is fixtures.  Man Utd have some difficult ones to finish the season.

Sterling

Sterling has long been the star of the Liverpool team this season playing striker and that has propelled him to be 2nd in the midfield points table.  However recently he has been shunted out to the right wing back position where goal scoring opportunities will really diminish.  However with Sturridge out for a month this may see him back temporarily as striker.  The players versatility which causes this positional risk is the curse of the Sun Dream Team manager and why I’ve ranked him lower than his stats suggest.

Mane

Southampton have really relied on their defence rather than their attack to put them into the position he is now.  However Mane has been one of the attacking success stories with a good points per game record plus seemingly holding the central attacking midfield position.  Southampton have some good fixtures to help him capitalise

Downing

This is really a fixture gamble that Downing can recreate his form from earlier in the season.  Does seem to be liked by Sun Dream Team but returns have really gone off the boil

Coutinho

Reasonable returns on a points per game basis plus now a more of a central focused attacking midfield position has bought him to our attention.  3 additional games potentially depending on their FA Cup progress is also an attraction plus his 57% 7+ rating which shows how much he is loved by Sun Dream Team.  The difficulty is can he keep the goal scoring up.  Doesn’t really get into the box to get shooting opportunities but relies on screamers from outside.  It’s difficult to bank on that continuing.
