The rules

The rules are refreshingly simple so no need to copy and paste from the site for me.  Here’s the key points:

The premier league and the FA cup earn points

11 players no subs

No same club restrictions on numbers

no captains

Various formations

points for goals and assists (wider key contribution definition).  Negative points for goals conveded for defs and GKs

No price movement of players.

40 transfers over the season. Transfers can happen between matches on a game day.

Draft 1 FFGeek team

Here’s my draft team.  It’s only the first one, there will be many to come.  Whats notable is that the prices seem more challenging than in previous years.  I did an ideal team and ended up nearly £4m in defecit the end result is trimming

Here’s the team:

tff...DraftTeam1

I’ve gone for the strongest defence within reason as there’s no subs and negative points for goals conceded.  I would have gone for all top 4 challenging defence except I had to trim for budget purposes.  I’m gambling on the Pulis defence and Koeman improving the Everton defence

In midfield Siggy and Mkhitaryan are my key players.  The TFF key contribution gives more emphasis on assist based players with it’s wider definition

Fischer and Townsend are my cheaper makeweights.  Aguero and Sturridge are my key strikers with Austin my cheap gamble if he can stake a starting place.

No Koscielny, Ozil, Ramsey, Giroud and Payet as I’m just unsure whether they will start GW1 after their Euro exploits
