telegraph fantasy football European Championship tips – a first draft team
Firstly here’s our first draft team:
If you haven’t seen it you’ll find our league rules article:
With 26 transfers in the first phase which only has 36 games and the ability to transfer between matches there’s alot of scope to improve the team as you go on. The Group phases are the followed by a transfer amnesty which allows you to change your entire team if you want.
So I’ve tried to deal with this by having a settled defence with the best defensive teams and then have a mixture of core players plus players with good fixtures who will be replaced with other players with good fixtures. The best defensive teams appear to be France, Germany, Spain and Portugal. I’ve tried to find the value players in that team. The core players at the moment are Ronaldo, Griezmann and Gotze. Shaqiri and Alaba are the round 1 fixture players with both playing Albania and NI. Perisic is just the filler.
I’ll try and concentrate on using players with good fixtures to maximise the benefit of transfers and leave the defence pretty much alone in theory.
The nest stop is to produce a list of players as options in different positions
