The transfer rules

The telegraph is a beacon of clarity for the Transfer rules.  I just wish the other formats had done such a good job.  Here they are copied from the site:

Transfers will close briefly following the conclusion of the group stage but then a second amnesty will open by 2pm on Thursday, June 23, 2016, meaning you can change your entire team at that point if you like. This will run until the first kick-off on Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Another 20 transfers will then be made available for you to use during the knockout stage of the tournament.

Transfers can be made between matches, so any players transferred in will start scoring from the next kick-off.

So with 16 games to come 20 transfers is fairly generous meaning slightly more than 1 per game

My approach and core team

So I’ve tried to strike a balance between today’s games and long term players who can go far in the competition.  Germany France and Belgium are probably the core teams as Spain has a tricky game against Italy.  So players like Hector and Muller from Germany, Rami, Payet and Giroud from France plus Meunier De Bruyne and Lukaku from Belgium are my core players.

However from the Saturday games, Bale is an essential as well as a welsh defender.  I’ve also gambled on the form of Perisic and Ramsey plus the class of Ronaldo and Lewandoski.  So 5 core longterm players and 6 fixture/form players

So here’s the team I’m going with:

I don’t think I’ll change my team but if I do I will only post it on twitter and that will be the case going forward.  Often it will be only when the lineups are announced.  So if you’re interested follow me @fantasyfoot20 or click here

Good luck!
