telegraph fantasy football heres my first draft team

Telegraph fantasy football

OK so time to start putting out a few teams  to start some debate.  so here’s my first one for Telegraph fantasy football.  By the way I’ve assumed RVP is going to Juve for this team so everything may change!   the link to the telegraph fantasy football category is at the bottom of the page  to see the rest of the articles including a summary of the rules.

GK

Hart – (£4.0m) no explanation needed.  Only one goalkeeper in telegraph fantasy football so you may as well have the team that will get you the most clean sheets.  this year it will be City

DEF

Ferdinand – (£4.4m)  Assuming no ban from his twittering is in place.  Man utd and Man City are the best prospects for consistent clean sheets in telegraph fantasy football so representation of both is essential.  Vidic maybe back but its doubtful on Evans so I’m gambling that Ferdinand will get good game time.

Ivanovic – (£4.2m)  Chelsea have an extra game and good fixtures so representation is a good idea.  Only 10 clean sheets last year and with a commitment to a more attacking style its still questionable but ivanovic seems to have the RB position his own and with good set piece attacking prospects he will hopefully come right.  Cole would have been my preference in telegraph fantasy football  as the most certain starter but too expensive.

Rangel – (£3.3m)  There were various cheaper options and I would have loved an everton defender but Swansea have the easiest start so im going with that.  I think Rangel has so far got unearthed attacking potential.  A certain starter so good for telegraph fantasy football.

MID

VDV – (£4.4m)  a must have.  good fixtures and an allround goal scoring and assist prospect.  injury prone is the only worry for telegraph fantasy football managers.

Dempsey – (£4.3m) Im not sure short term this shouldnt be hazard but the price is ridiculous so im sicking with DEmpsey for the moment.  May rethink if ends up at Liverpool

Guthre – (£2.7m) cheap filler.  hard to pick whetehr he will play with all the comings and goings at reading but an extra game helps alleviate that risk.  Reasonably fixtures to start nothing out of the ordinary

Michu – (£3.3m) good fixtures and 15 goals last season in La Liga for a struggling team make him an enticing prospect in telegraph fantasy football.

FOR

Rooney – (£6.8m)  a must have for the 3 fixtures starting GW2.  2nd best striker last year behind RVP.  goals being the same points for strikers as Mids mean its worth going for the elite

Aguero – (£6.7m)  3rd best striker behind RVP and Rooney.  had a break with strong pre-season to date.  will be devastating.  will be the least rotated.

Jelavic – (£5.8m)  Im a huge fan and certain of selection.  good shooting stats, has Pienaar in the team for creativity.  I’m expecting big things. for all that if Adebayor goes to spurs I’ll be thinking hard at £5.6m

after me rating and commenting I will look forward to all your views.  Please no holding back, I can take feedback!!
