Here’s a team of Sun Dream Team players that will have low ownership and will give you a chance to set you apart from your colleagues and catch up if you need to. So there’s no RVP’s, Hazards or YYT’s. Don’t obviously pick this team, just use it for ideas. All come with alot of risk so only look to have a few in your team
GK
Schwarzer Fulham £2.0m
Fulham are a good statistical defence and although a bit short on additional fixtures should keep clean sheets
DEF
Evans Man u £5.5m
Man u have good fixtures over this period and Evans should be a regular selection as per last year. Does 1 game against Newcastle mean the defensive problems have turned? Thats the gamble
Johnson Liverpool £4.0m
Not many are looking in this direction but he has reasonable fixtures and great attacking stats. Would be in my team
Zabaleta Man city £4.0m
Everyone in this defence is a risk apart from Kompany. Ive explained numerous times why think hes worth the gamble.
Gallas Spurs £3.0m
The value Spurs defensive option but comes with game time risk. However theres’ enough fixtures to hopefully outweigh this.
MID
Nasri City £4.5m
Theres no doubting his quality. Its just how often Mancini will use him when Silvas fit. Again alot of games to go around and will get a chance to impress with Silva injured.
Gerrard Liverpool £6.0m
The sort of all action midfielder the Sun likes. With Suarez should dominate star man awards. Its just is he far enough forward and will he be rested too much.
Dempsey Spurs £5.0m
Not a typical Sun Dream Team favourite. He just cant be ignored with his goal scoring potential. Will it be replicated though at Spurs.
Forward
Rooney Man U £7.5
Really, Rooney a differential? RVP dominates teams so suddenly he does. Has some characteristics which the Sun Dream Team likes, in that he is constantly involved and influencing the game. Will he be too far back though to score enough goals?
Giroud Arsenal £4.5
Announced himself with a fantastic performance against West Ham. Will he hold his place is the question?
Jelavic Everton £3.5m
Total quality and great fixtures. Everton are just a little light on quantity of fixtures though, not being in the Capital One or Europe
Thats it hope it gives some food for thought. Here’s the links to my other Sun Dream Team articles on players.
