If you want a last check on your team here’s my predicted line ups for the opening game rounds for each team.  I’ve put it together from qualifying stats, injury info and friendly information.  I’ve also tried to highlight at least with the bigger teams where the uncertainties will be.  Please leave in comments where you think any inaccuracies are.  It was a massive task so I can’t promise it’s 100% correct.

World Cup fantasy football 2014 – Predicted team line ups for opening rounds

Algeria

M’Bolhi- Mesbah Bougherra Medjani Goulahm- Taider  Yebda Bentaleb – Feghouli Soudanhi Slimani

Lack of friendly and some variation in qualifiers hasn’t helped

Argentina

Romero – Zabaleta F Fernandez Garay Rojo – Gago Mascherano Di Maria – Aguero Messi Higuain

Gago injury doubt.  Some concern over Higuain and Garay but dismissed as minor despite no place in last 2 friendlies

Australia

Ryan – Franjic Davidson Spiranovich Wilkinson – Jedinak Milligan Bresciano – Leckie Oar Cahill

Belgium

Courtouis – Alderweireld Vermaelen Kompany Vertonghen – Witsel Dembele – Mertens DeBruyne Hazard – Lukaku

Vermaelen and Van Buyten plus Mirallas or Mertens are areas of contention

Bosnia

Begovic – Mujda Sunjic Spahic Kolasinac –  Besic Pjanic Lulic – Misimovic – Ibisevic Dzeko

Brazil

Cesar – Alves Marcelo Luiz Silva – Gustavo Paulino Oscar – Hulk Neymar Fred

All of the back 4 apart from Silva have good cover but this should be the back 4.  Ramires/ Paulino main debating point.

Cameroon

Itandje – Nyom NKoulou Chedjou Bedimo – Song Enoh Mbia – ChoupoMating Makoun  Eto’o

Another tricky one due to lack of friendlies and changes in qualifying

Chile

Bravo – Isla Medel Jara Mena – Carmona Diaz Aranguiz – Sanchez Valvida Vargas

Vidal looks unlikely to start.  Carmona or Gutirrez here.  Medel has some injury doubt and his CB partner is difficult to predict

Colombia

Ospina – Zuniga Zapata Yepes Armero – Cuadrado Sanchez Torres Rodriguez – Gutirrez Bacca

Lots of competition here.  Bacca v Martinez.  Sanchez or Torres also have competition

Costa Rica

Navas – Gamboa Gonzalez Duarte Umana – Borges Tjeda Diaz  Bolanos – Ruiz –  Campbell

Croatia

Pletikosa – Srna Corluka Lovren Prjanic – Modric Rakitic – Perisic Kovacic Olic – Jelavic

Mandzukic suspended for game 1.  Will return for game 2

Ecuador

Bangera – Parades Guagua Erazo Ayovi – A Valencia Montero Noboa Gruezo –  Caicedo E Valencia

Gruezo and Noboa have competition

England

Hart – Johnson Baines Jagielka Cahill – Gerrard Henderson – Sterling Rooney Lallana – Sturridge

Sterling Welbeck Lallana Milner and Henderson could all compete for 3 spots.  Everyone else settled.

France

LLoris-DebuchyVarane Sakho Evra – Pogba Matuidi Valbuena Cabaye – Giroud Benzema

Any selection is possible here.  How anyone could play Debuchy and Sakho instead of Koscielny and Sagna is beyond me.  2 strikers are possible.  Griezmann has been on fire but only from the bench.  Benzema Evra Lloris Pogba and Cabaye are the certainties

Germany

Neuer – Lahm Mertesacker Boateng Durm – Khedira Kroos – Muller Ozil Schurrle – Gotze

Dilemmas all over the place.  Lahm at FB or CDM.  LB uncertainty.  Khedira or Schweinsteiger.  Schurrle or Podolski.  Gotze or Klose.

Ghana

Dauda – Opare Boye Mensah Afful – Essien Muntari – A Ayew Asamoah Boateng – Gyan

GK Dauda on basis that Kwarasy injured

Greece

Karnezis – Torosidis Manolas Moras Holebas – Tziolis Maniatis Karagounis – Salpingidis Samaras Mitroglu

Holland

Cillesen – Janmaat De Vrij Vlaar Martins Indi Blind – De Jong De Guzman  – Sneijder – RVP Robben

Should be a fairly safe lineup.  De Guzman or Fer main debating point.

Honduras

Valladares – Beckeles Bernardez Figueroa Izaguirre – Palacios Garrido Espinoza Garcia – Costly Bengtson

Iran

Davari – Sadeghi Hosseini Montazeri Beikzadeh – Nekounam Teymourian Dejagh Shojael – Jahanbakhsh Ghoochannejad

Italy

Buffon- Abate Bonucci Chiellini De Sciglio – Pirlo De Rossi Marchiso Veratti – Ballotelli Immobile

2 strikers or 1?  Veratti  or another midfielder.  Cerci in a 4-3-3? Insigne also in the mix?

Ivory Coast

Barry – Aurier K Toure Bamba Boka – Serey Die Tiote – Gervinho Kalou Gradel – Drogba

YYT the big injury doubt in for Serey Die or Gradel

Japan

Kawashima – Uchida Yoshida Konno Nagatomo – Endo Yamaguchi- Okazaki Honda Kagawa – Osako

Mexico

Corona – Aquilar Marquez Moreno Layun Rodriguez – Herrera Vaquez Pena – Dos Santos Peralta

Dos Santos or Hernandez the big issue

Nigeria

Enyeama – Ambrose Omeruo Oboabona Elderson – Moses Onazi Obi Mikel Odemwingie Azeez – Emenike

Injury doubt over Musa if returns will replace Azeez .

Portugal

Patrico – Pereira Pepe Alves Coentrao – Meireles Moutinho Veloso – Varela Postiga Ronaldo

Varela or Nani?  Ronaldo will be fit and play

Russia

Akinfeev – Yeschenko Kombarov Ignashevich Berezutski – Shatov Zhirkov Samedov Fayzulin Denisov  – Kokorin

RB  Yeschenko main area of doubt

Spain

Casillas – Juanfran Ramos Pique Alba  – Iniesta Alonso Busquets Xavi Pedro –  Costa

Impossible to predict the midfield with Fabregas Koke and Silva also  competing for a spot.  RB is the other area of competition with Azpilicueta also competing

Switzerland

Benaglio – Lichtsteiner Schlar Von Bergen Rodriguez – Inler Behrami – Shaqiri Xhaka Stocker – Drimic

USA

Howard – Johnson Cameron  Besler Beasley –  Bradley Jones Zusi Bedoya –  Dempsey Altidore

The midfield is the area of competition with a number of options possible

Uruguay

Muslera – Perira Lugano Godin Caceres – Ramirez Gargano Arelavo Rodriguez – Forlan Cavani

Suarez likely to return game 2 against England and not be risked against Costa Rica in game 1
