Lineup comment
No surprises at all in the Brazil line up. Paulino v Ramires was probably the only potential selection issue. Croatia also lined up as expected apart from an injury to Pranjic meaning Vrsaljko starting.
Player comment
Neymar
Couldn’t have got off to a better start with 2 goals including 1 pen. Overall he played well and pleasingly he was more central than I’ve seen him in some games. Was very involved in the game and a good pointer for the future
Oscar
Although played on the right he was very effective. Alot of very good crosses as well as great defensive work. He also came away with a goal and an assist. A good pointer for the future.
The Brazil defence
Brazil looked shaky in central defence. The FBs attacking wise were disappointing with only 1 successful cross between them.
Sun Dream Team scoring
No surprises here. Neymar got the Star man award and an 8 rating. Oscar got an 8 rating and was the only Brazilian player to get more than 6. Olic got an 8 for Croatia. The GK Pletikosa got a 7 shockingly. Srna Lovren and Modric also got 7s.
Key Players for day 2
Mexico v Cameroon
Mexico: Striker Peralta is the only real option for Mexico for me
Cameroon: There’s only Eto’o as an option
Spain v Netherlands
Spain: The defence will be worth watching to see how they handle such a potent attack. The midfield lineup as well will be interesting. Also will Diego Costa start?
The Netherlands: Focus will be on Robben and RVP. How they perform will be the main point of interest.
Chile v Australia
Chile: Anyone who gambled on Vidal playing will be looking at the team sheet carefully. Sanchez is the other option worth looking at. Vargas offers a cheap forward option.
Australia: Australia I believe are a potential whipping boy in this Group and one that could warrant transfers in of Dutch and Spain players later on if you play in the Telegraph or Fox Sports format.
Thats it. My aim is to do this daily. Any comments or other info wanted please tell me
