World Cup fantasy Football – FFGeek team updates for Sunday 24 June

Here’s the games being played today:

McDonalds

Total points 96.  Overall rank 167k no Wildcard or Chips used

A good return from Lukaku but nothing from Muller

Todays changes

You need to make captain changes and substitutions before the first game kicks off at 1pm

I’m sticking with Suarez as my captain so no change there

Honda of Japan and Sabaly of Senegal are playing today so they are substituted for Onazi and Hegazy.

Make sure you do your captain change and substitutions in the ROUND 2 tab not the Round 3 tab which is easy to get wrong

If you’re looking for stats on potential players for today here are my key articles.  Remember though they were done prior to the tournament so you need to see at the very least that they played in Round 1 before you pick anyone

Sun Dream Team

Total points 132 Overall Rank 134k  transfers used 9 out of 20

Again backwards in rank despite having Lukaku.

Firstly here’s a link to my timeline article so you can see the order of teams playing in the Group stages.  That may effect your transfer decisions

In retrospect you can transfer a player for a game after the first 1 in a match day as long as the player out’s team hasn’t played on the matchday and the player in’s team hasn’t played on the match day.  Here’s the rules which I think I interpreted incorrectly at first.    The Sun Live chat have verified it as did some other managers who have used it so it seems safe

An eligible transfer will take immediate effect and will occur if you transfer a Player out for another Player where neither the outgoing Player’s Country nor the incoming Player’s Country have played during that Match Day.

Transfers

Lukaku out for Kane and Pickford in for Courtois.  That will leave me with 9 transfers.  The only transfer I’m planning for round 3 is to bring Neymar back which will leave me with 8 for the knockouts

I will at least tweet any transfers probably around 12pm UK time

Here’s the team as of today with yesterdays points.

In the telegraph you definitely can make transfers between matches.

the standard team

1 transfers today.  Lukaku out for Kane

Here’s the team as it stands.   I will at least tweet transfers probably around 12pm UK time

the defensive block team

With only 3 transfers left the block has peaked and it’s all down hill from here.  Spains last game is against Morocco so it’s still a good clean sheet prospect. They will need to play their full team with them and Portugal on the same points.

1 transfer today Griezmann out for Kane

Here’s the team as it stands. I will at least tweet transfers probably around 12pm UK time
