Here’s the “ones to watch” for forwards on the Barclays fantasy premier league  in a buy hold sell format for GW12.  This will give the best forward players at a variety of price ranges

There is no rule for forwards just pick the best ones especially now with goals virtually guaranteeing bonus points:

I’ve provided the following stats to support the player choices and to guide you in your decisions.  I’ve now moved this to this year’s stats:

1.  Goals and assists this year.

2.  Time per point scored this year.  This is how many minutes it takes for a Barclays fantasy premier league point to be scored over the course of the season.  The lower the better obviously.   I’ve now moved to this years stats

3.  Rotation risk.  High, medium or low.  High is the greatest risk of rotation.

4.  Fixture ease ranking:  The link is at the bottom of the article but essentially I’ve ranked all the teams by the ease of the first 6 fixtures.  The team with the best ranking ie 1 will have the easiest next fixtures of any of the fantasy premier league teams over the next 6 games.

5.  Consistency:  The % of times that the player got a goal or assist   as a % of games played

6.  I’ve also ranked them in their categories as who I think is currently the best choice

7.  I’ve added a new feature.  The last 5 return consistency rate.  This will show the amount of games in the last 5 played that have resulted in a goal or assist

Forwards

1.  Suarez (£12.0m)BUY

Goals and assists: 8 goals and 3 assists:     Time per point scored:  8.4  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 15.  Consistency 5/6    83%               Last 5 return consistency rate:  4/5

Incredible return to fantasy premier league.  Backed up by fantastic underlying stats for shooting and creating chances.  Looks a must buy. Only shadow has been pretty easy fixtures.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:   Everton (A)   Hull City (A)   Norwich (H)   West Ham (H)  Tottenham (A)    Cardiff City (H)

2.  Aguero (£11.9m) BUY

  • Goals and assists:  8 goals 7 assists.  Time per point scored: 9.1  mins .  Rotation risk: medium.   fixture ease ranking: 18th.  Consistency     7/10  70%   Last 5 return  rate:  4/5

Did everything but score against Sunderland.  In fantastic form and has great underlying shooting and creating chances stats to back it up. A few tricky defensive fixtures to come.  However he can score against anyone.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:  Tottenham (H)   Swansea (H)   West Brom (A)   Southampton (A)   Arsenal (H)   Fulham (A)

3.  Remy (£7.8m) BUY

  • Goals and assists:  7 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored:  11.2 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 9th.  Consistency 6/9  67%          Last 5 return rate:  3/5

In great form which is now being backed up by some underlying shooting and creating chances stats.  Now is definitely the time to buy if you’re going to before 2 homes games and Swansea away

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:  Norwich (H)   West Brom (H)   Swansea (A)   Man Utd (A)   Southampton (H)   Crystal Palace (A)

4. Rooney (£11.0m)  BUY

  • Goals and assists: 5 goals and 6 assists:     Time per point scored:  12.6  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 11th.  Consistency 8/10   80%  Last 5 return rate:  4/5

Doesn’t really have much in the way of shooting stats but hasn’t always needed it.  You just have to go with the form and consistency that he’s showing.  Much cheaper alternative to RVP

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:  Cardiff City (A)   Tottenham (A)   Everton (H)   Newcastle (H)   Aston Villa (A)   West Ham (H)

5.  RVP (£13.9m) HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  7 goals 2 assists.  Time per point scored:  12.8 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 11th.  Consistency 6/10   60%        Last 5 return rate:  4/5

Scored in 4 games in a row now.   Although the last 2 have been 1 shot and 1 goal.  Will always score given his class and record, its just the price.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:  Cardiff City (A)   Tottenham (A)   Everton (H)   Newcastle (H)   Aston Villa (A)   West Ham (H)

6.  Sturridge (£9.8m)  HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  8 goals 2 assists.  Time per point scored:  13.7 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 15th  Consistency 8/11  73%          last 5 return rate:  3/5

Being transferred out by the bucket loads for Suarez. The blank against Fulham certainly didn’t help his case that’s for sure.  2 games no returns and underlying stats no where near as good as Suarez.  Still no need to panic given the overall position.  It’s one thing double covering Liverpool with Fulham the opponent its a another thing on an ongoing basis. Underlying stats reasonable for shooting but not creating chances for others

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:   Everton (A)   Hull City (A)   Norwich (H)   West Ham (H)  Tottenham (A)    Cardiff City (H)

7.  Giroud (£9.1m) HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  5 goals 4 assists.  Time per point scored:  15.10 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 19th.  Consistency 7/11   64%    last 5 return rate: 2/5

2 games with no return are a recipe for mass selling for fantasy premier league forwards at the moment.  Should be remembered that the 2 games were Liverpool and Man Utd.  Also his underlying stats for shooting and creating chances are good.  Various stories about tiredness from team mates haven’t also helped.  Next 3 games will define his longevity.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:  Southampton (H)   Cardiff City (A)   Hull City (H)   Everton (H)   Man City (A)   Chelsea (H)

8.  Lukaku (£8.0m) HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  5 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored:  13.4  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 10th.  Consistency for Everton  4/7   57%  Last 5 return rate:  2/5

2 quiet games in a row is not a good sign with all the alternatives around.  Has the basic talent though to succeed.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:  Liverpool (H)   Stoke City (H)   Man Utd (A)   Arsenal (A)   Fulham (H)   Swansea (A)

9.  Benteke (£8.9m) HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  4 goals 0 assists.  Time per point scored: 20.2  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 13th.  Consistency     3/9  33%        Last 5 return rate:  1/5

3 starts without a return and incredibly 5 games if you count sub appearances.  Has got the underlying shooting and creating chances stats though to think that it will come right.  Also a few good fixtures in amongst some tricky ones.

West Brom (A)  Sunderland (H)   Southampton (A)   Fulham (A)   Man Utd (H)   Stoke City (A)

Fixture Punts

Bony (£7.4m)

  • Goals and assists:  4 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored: 14.4  mins .  Rotation risk: medium.   fixture ease ranking: 6th.  Consistency     4/10  33%        Last 5 return rate:  2/5

Stats distorted by a number of sub appearances.  However fantasy premier league points per minute and consistency pretty good.  Main issue has been game time. This hasn’t been helped by stories of special training regimes needed.  However with Michu injured and 2 goals against Stoke surely he will get some decent gametime.  confidence should also be restored. Also should have penalty duties.  Fulham away is the time to do it if your’e going to.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:  Fulham (A)   Man City (A)   Newcastle (H)   Hull City (H)   Norwich (A)   Everton (H)
