Barclays fantasy premier league – forwards GW11 “ones to watch” BUY HOLD SELL

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s the “ones to watch” for forwards on the Barclays fantasy premier league  in a buy hold sell format for GW11.  This will give the best forward players at a variety of price ranges

There is no rule for forwards just pick the best ones especially now with goals virtually guaranteeing bonus points:

I’ve provided the following stats to support the player choices and to guide you in your decisions.  I’ve now moved this to this year’s stats:

1.  Goals and assists this year.

2.  Time per point scored this year.  This is how many minutes it takes for a Barclays fantasy premier league point to be scored over the course of the season.  The lower the better obviously.   I’ve now moved to this years stats

3.  Rotation risk.  High, medium or low.  High is the greatest risk of rotation.

4.  Fixture ease ranking:  The link is at the bottom of the article but essentially I’ve ranked all the teams by the ease of the first 6 fixtures.  The team with the best ranking ie 1 will have the easiest next fixtures of any of the fantasy premier league teams over the next 6 games.

5.  Consistency:  The % of times that the player got a goal or assist   as a % of games played

6.  I’ve also ranked them in their categories as who I think is currently the best choice

7.  I’ve added a new feature.  The last 5 return consistency rate.  This will show the amount of games in the last 5 played that have resulted in a goal or assist

Forwards

1.  Suarez (£11.7m)BUY

Goals and assists: 6 goals and 2 assists:     Time per point scored:  9.3  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 13.  Consistency 4/5    80%               Last 5 return consistency rate:  4/5

Its a scary thought not having Suarez in your team for the GW11  home game against Fulham.    Southampton looked like they could have scored any amount against them a couple of weeks ago and made Rickie Lambert looked like he will terrorise defences at the World Cup.   Its 6 goals and 2 assists in 5 games and returns in 4/5.    Now is the time to buy Suarez if you’re ever going to do it.  BUY

Fulham (H)   Everton (A)   Hull City (A)   Norwich (H)   West Ham (H)   Tottenham (A)

2.  Aguero (£11.8m) BUY

  • Goals and assists:  8 goals 7 assists.  Time per point scored: 8.2  mins .  Rotation risk: medium.   fixture ease ranking: 16th.  Consistency     7/9  78%   Last 5 return  rate:  5/5

Home to Norwich was the best time to transfer in Aguero  although away to Sunderland is still a pretty good fixture. 8 goals and 7 assists in 9 games plus arguably the best underlying stats with Luis Suarez make him a fairly essential purchase at the moment even as City’s fixtures get trikier. Rotation is an inherent risk and will cause fantasy premier league managers alot of anxiety waiting for team sheets. However, like Silva  he is looking a fairly essential player for Pellegrini who will at least allow him to give the domestic cups a wide berth to concentrate on the Premier League and the Champions League.  scored twice in the champions league as well.   A definite BUY

Sunderland (A)  Tottenham (H)  Swansea (H)  West Brom (A)  Southampton (A)  Arsenal (H)

3.  Sturridge (£10.0m)  BUY

  • Goals and assists:  8 goals 2 assists.  Time per point scored:  13.0 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 13th  Consistency 8/10  80%          last 5 return rate:  4/5

Sturridge’s only mistake is being in the same team as Suarez.  I definitely think Suarez is the better player without doubt so its a swap that makes sense.  although if you have them both for the Fulham game I would keep both.    Phenomenal scoring record but doesn’t have the underlying stats that Suarez has or the all round game. Suarez is on fire as well.

Fulham (H)   Everton (A)   Hull City (A)   Norwich (H)   West Ham (H)   Tottenham (A)

4. Rooney (£10.9m)  BUY

  • Goals and assists: 5 goals and 5 assists:     Time per point scored:  12.00  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 11th.  Consistency 7/9   78%  Last 5 return rate:  4/5

Better value than RVP and just keeps returning despite playing behind RVP and not having the greatest underlying stats. 3 goals and 3 assists in 9 games and returned from 7/9 which is pretty good stuff. Uniteds fixtures are ok with an 11 fixture ease ranking.

Arsenal (H)   Cardiff City (A)   Tottenham (A)   Everton (H)   Newcastle (H)   Aston Villa (A)

5.  Lukaku (£8.1m) BUY (injury doubt)

  • Goals and assists:  5 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored:  11.9  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 5th.  Consistency for Everton  4/6   67%  Last 5 return rate:  3/5

Had one of his few quiet games against the number 1 defence of Spurs last week but looks like he will be fit to take on the worst defence in the league.  You sell Lukaku before an away game at Palace at your peril.    A hold for me although I can understand transfers in of Aguero or Suarez at the current time

Crystal Palace (A)  Liverpool (H)  Stoke City (H)  Man Utd (A)  Arsenal (A)  Fulham (H)

6.  Giroud (£9.3m) BUY

  • Goals and assists:  5 goals 4 assists.  Time per point scored:  14.10 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 17th.  Consistency 7/10   70%    last 5 return rate: 3/5

A guaranteed selection as no other striker to cover.  Also has a great all round game which allows assists as well as goals plus excellent underlying stats.  Fixtures are getting trickier.  Has been sold in numbers due to other forward options and the ability to get Arsenal coverage through their midfielders.

Man Utd (A)   Southampton (H)   Cardiff City (A)   Hull City (H)   Everton (H)   Man City (A)

7.  RVP (£13.9m) HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  6 goals 2 assists.  Time per point scored:  13.4 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 11th.  Consistency 5/9   56%        Last 5 return rate:  3/5

Finally come to life with 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 3 games.   Now the question is whether he’s worth the money against other options. Personally I think there are a number of good forwards who are alternative captain options and with his dwindling ownership (especially among active players) it’s no longer a problem to not own him. The issue of him not creating chances has yet to go away and his stats aren’t as good as Aguero or Suarez so for me he’s just not worth the price. Selling now or after the Cardiff game is probably the ideal time to do so.

Arsenal (H)   Cardiff City (A)   Tottenham (A)   Everton (H)   Newcastle (H)   Aston Villa (A)

8.  Benteke (£8.8m) BUY

  • Goals and assists:  4 goals 0 assists.  Time per point scored: 18.6  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 2nd.  Consistency     3/8  38%        Last 5 return rate:  1/5

Been having a few difficulties lately with missed pens and chances.   Has a good run of fixtures and the underlying stats suggest that things will come right again. A buy for me

Cardiff City (H)   West Brom (A)   Sunderland (H)   Southampton (A)   Fulham (A)   Man Utd (H)

9.  Remy(£7.7m) HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  6 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored:  11.6 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 19th.  Consistency 5/8  63%          Last 5 return rate:  3/5

I’ve been a very dubious about Remy because he doesn’t really have any underlying shooting or creating chances stats to back up his goals and in my view Newcastle are a fairly ordinary team.  However the goalscoring tap seems to have been turned on again for Newcastle and its hard to ignore anyone with his points per minute coupled with a pretty good consistency rate.  The downside is fixtures and I certainly wouldn’t but him before he faces the Spurs defence unless you’ve literally got nothing else to do

Tottenham (A)   Norwich (H)   West Brom (H)  Swansea (A)   Man Utd (A)   Southampton (H)
