Chip thoughts
In the end, I decided that using Limitless Match Day 2 (LMD2) as the way to go. The MAIN reason I decided on this is because the best cheap defenders have tough competition on MD2. So I can have Denayer, Maehle and Kjaer in for their easier two fixtures and miss the one where they play each other. It also makes Erikssen, Shaqiri, Arnautovic, Alaba and Bachman all quite attractive. As they all play their toughest opponent in MD2, which I can swerve with the chip.
It came down to just preferring the template of LMD2 to LMD3 template I put together. Erikssen at 5% ownership vs Finland had a lot to do with it.
Some other notables:
- I think 3 premium forwards takes away one and even maybe two more really good attacking options from midfield. I know I don’t have Lukaku or Kane or Lewandowski or whomever else you think I need however I like the Arnie gamble. The last time he played NMD he braced. Going to him upgraded my 4.5M Defender to Cancelo, my 6M Italy mid to Insigne and my other 6M mid to Mount. So I prefer this. All good if you don’t!
- Alaba at 5.5M vs Macedonia is great and to skip Netherlands (in Holland) with LMD2 is just fantastic. I assume he’s in every template. He takes corners and attacks for Austria so get him.
- I almost went with the Italy double D over Cancelo in Florenzi. I still might.
I just like the extra option on the final day. - As of now my planned transfer into MD3 is Ronaldo and Cancelo out. However if Arnautovic or someone gets hurt (or Covid) I may need to abandon that. So perhaps I should change Cancelo
