Dave F

Dave F last 3 overall ranks are 26k, 20k and 12k

GW33 points: 57 (19 Top managers average 75) Total points: 2,022 Overall Rank: 98k, red arrow: 38k   Team Value: £104.4m

Dave used his Triple Captain Chip in GW25 and Free Hit in GW29

So the first red arrow in awhile last week as Salah captain didn’t work out in the end but I still remain in the top 100k with the small red.

The approach this week is essentially to Bench Boost or not? I’m leaning towards yes although it will require a -4 point deduction and require faith in both Garnacho (potential disciplinary benching) and Haaland (potential injury) so it certainly does not come without risk.

That being said, the appeal is strong as it allows me to Wildcard into my best XI next week and not have to worry about a strong bench for GW37 as the Bench Boost alternative.

So for now, let’s assume I will Bench Boost. As a result Turner and Pedro Porro have to go and my intent will be to split these two with exposure to the Palace and Everton defence rather than doubling up on one or the other. Currently leaning at going Henderson and Mykolenko as the replacements.

For captaincy I’m going back to the well with salah despite the lack of teeth from Liverpool’s attack at the moment. Saka as vice.

Transfer summary: Possibly Turner and Pedro Porro OUT and Henderson and Mykolenko IN

Rick Porter

Rick’s last 7 seasons ORs were 12k, 38k, 1k, 29k, 1k, 30k and 2k.

GW33 points: 69 (19 Top managers average 75) Total points: 2,006 Overall Rank: 149k, red arrow: 16k   Team Value: £104.2

Rick used his Triple Captain Chip in GW25 and Free Hit in GW29

A week that promised a lot but ended up being a bit of a flop. For my team, at least. Seeing Son blank again was great news, but Foden not playing at all (despite what the leaks said) and Sarabia’s two points coming from the bench didn’t do anything to capitalise on the situation, which felt a huge waste.

My double Arsenal defence also faltered late on and Palmer’s mega haul gained me nothing due to a sky high EO. In the end all I had was a captain success story, goal from Solanke, and clean sheet from Dubravka to help me limit the red arrow, which ended up being 16k.

Looking ahead

Not a substantial drop, but it’s another week gone and it feels like the chances to gain rank are slipping away quickly. We are now entering the final stretch of the season, but there are still three doubles tucked into the last five gameweeks, so at least there’s still some opportunity for improvement. I’m already fully set up for these last few clashes and, assuming all goes to plan, I’ll have good representation in the doubles that remain.

I have two FTs this week to get fully set up for DGW34 before I then hit the WC button in DGW35. Currently I have two options in front of me:
