The following are some players who have made some huge headlines following their transfer.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

The global football superstar made the £100 million deal to the Italian giants Juventus last month. The move was met with a lot of surprises but not many were shocked since there were rumours that all was not well at Real Madrid.

The Portuguese superstar won everything under the La Liga team. The move to Juventus is hope for the Turin giants to finally win the European Premier competition since 1996. The 33-year-old is hoping to dominate European football in all areas. He is expected to make his debut on August 19, playing against the reigning Serie A champions.

2. Gianluigi Buffon

The 40-year-old goalkeeper legend has signed a one year deal with Paris-Saint-Germain after leaving Juventus. This comes when Christian Ronaldo is making his debut for the team.

Buffon joins PSG after a 17-year-old stay at Juventus where he has won nine Serie A trophies and five Coppa Italia. However, in May he faced a scandal when he criticised referee Michael Oliver for giving an injury-time penalty. This made his team get eliminated by Real Madrid in the quarter-final stage.

3. Alisson

Liverpool has completed the signing of Alison from Roma for a £67 million. Liverpool fans are quite excited about his move and they are hoping that Alison will help them win a champions league title for the first time in 29 years.

The Brazil international star signed a six-year contract deal immediately after passing a medical on Merseyside. He is expected to be the last signing for Liverpool after a summer window transfer of £170 million. They have acquired Naby Keita, Fabhino and Xherdan Shaqiri.

4. Riyad Mahrez

Riyad Mahrez has finally made the move to Manchester City from Leicester City in July 2018. The £60 million deal was a hefty price but Man City dug dip in their pockets to secure him. Manchester City currently has the best squad in the European league.

5. Thomas Lemar

Two days before the world cup Atletico Madrid agreed to sign up a deal Thomas Lemar from Monaco. Even though it is not the most exhilarating transfer in history Thomas showed excellent form in 2018. This was before he got some injuries but had managed a victorious campaign in Russia.
