fantasy premier league – “ones to watch” cheapie midfielders – GW25

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s the 2nd part of my fantasy premier league “ones to watch” for midfielders looking at those under £6.0m.  I’ve tried to rank them on gametime security, form and fixtures but there’s enough information there I hope for you to judge how to slot them into your fantasy premier league team

fantasy premier league – “ones to watch” cheapie midfielders – GW25

1.  Puncheon (£5.0m)

Seems to be a fixture in the side now although new signings still attach some gametime risk.     Was taking pens although a miss at Spurs may have changed that.    Very good shooting stats and a very forward thinking player.  3 goals in his last 5 games and 3 returning matches in that period.  A good time to buy home to WBA next

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

West Brom (H)
Everton (A)
Man Utd (H)
Swansea (A)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)

2.  Snodgrass (£5.9m)

A player who should be returning far better.  An integral player in the Norwich side with really  good underlying stats and set piece dominance.   1 goal and 1 assist in the last 5 and 2 returning matches.  Home to Man City is not the time to buy though.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Man City (H)
West Ham (A)
Tottenham (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Stoke City (H)
Southampton (A)

3.  Zaha (£5.4m)

The man who literally got Crystal Palace promoted single handedly given his performances in the play off semis and final.  A quality player with real skill.  8 goals and 11 assists in 46 Championship games doesn’t really do his ability justice.   His first appearance for   Cardiff saw him deliver an assist.  Difficult to see that he won’t play.  Fixtures couldn’t be better

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Swansea (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Hull City (H)
Tottenham (A)
Fulham (H)
Everton (A)

4.  Mutch (£4.6m)

Still seems a consistent selection by OGS even if subject to a few substitutions recently.   A midfielder who likes to get into the box and shoot.  1 goals and an assist in his last 5 and 1 returning games in that period.  None in his last 4 though.  Good fixtures

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Swansea (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Hull City (H)
Tottenham (A)
Fulham (H)
Everton (A)

5.  Sterling (£5.3m)

The return of Sturridge hasn’t affected his gametime with him starting the last 12.  Despite being a constant threat has only got 1 assist in his last 5 games.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Arsenal (H)
Fulham (A)
Swansea (H)
Southampton (A)
Sunderland (H)
Man Utd (A)

6.  Sidwell (£5.2m)

A largely defensive player who seems to have a knack for scoring.   Its 2 goals in his last 5 games and 2 returning games in that period.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Man Utd (A)
Liverpool (H)
West Brom (A)
Chelsea (H)
Cardiff City (A)
Newcastle (H)

7.  Adam (£5.6m)

Top in the fantasy premier league form tables. A player who was one of the fantasy premier league stars with Blackpool who’s finally showing what he can do given set piece duties and an advanced position.  Finally seems to have sealed a place in the team starting his last 5.  3 goals in his last 5 games which was 2 returning fixtures.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Southampton (A)
Swansea (H)
Man City (A)
Arsenal (H)
Norwich (A)
West Ham (H)

8.  Januzaj (£5.3m)

Not started either of the games since Mata came into the side.  However has looked better and better each game and should start against Fulham having been rested and with Youngs rather dreadful performance at Stoke.    Only 1 assist in his last 5 but shown enough to see that the returns will come.  Will always be a gametime risk though.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Fulham (H)
Arsenal (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
– Gameweek 28 –
West Brom (A)
Liverpool (H)

9.  Tom Ince (£5.5m)

This is my punt.  25 goals and 20 assists in 67 games in the Championship for Blackpool is some record for a midfielder.  Can he establish a starting position from the off?  He will have to displace Bolasie in my mind.  Can he translate that form to the premier league.  Big questions but a big talent. Fixtures are mixed
