fantasy premier league – “ones to watch” cheapie midfielders – GW29

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s the 2nd part of my fantasy premier league “ones to watch” for midfielders looking at those at or under £6.0m for GW29.  I’ve tried to rank them on gametime security, form and fixtures but there’s enough information there I hope for you to judge how to slot them into your fantasy premier league team.  I’ve included players who don’t play in GW29.  This is to help with your forward planning and who to keep on the subs bench rather than sell

fantasy premier league – “ones to watch” cheapie midfielders – GW29

1.  Snodgrass (£6.0m)

Subbed at half time against Villa with a wirst injury.  Expected to be back for GW29 though.  Hard to believe he wont line up in such a crucial game.  Didn’t play for Scotland midweek so rest secured.  2 goals  and 2 returning games in his last 5.    Gametime secure and  has good set piece representation  and in the mix for pens.  Has good shooting and creating chances underlying stats and that combined with good fixtures should see his returns improve.   Current fantasy premier league minutes per point is 25.3 which is ordinary.  This is about recent improvement and fixtures.

No blanks in GW29.  No DGW31

Swansea (A)
West Brom (H)
Fulham (A)

2.  Sterling (£5.8m)

Came off the bench to score against Saints.  Prior to that he had started 15 games.  Can’t think the benching meant anything as difficult to see Allen taking his place short or long term.  3 goals and an assist in 3 returning games in his last 5.      Looks lethal every game and great value for such an advanced player in a free goal scoring Liverpool side.  Fantasy premier league point every 17.3 minutes is good for the value.      Blank in GW29.  DGW31 though

Man Utd (A)
Cardiff City (A)DGW31
Sunderland (H)DGW31
Tottenham (H)
West Ham (A)

3.  Steven Davis (£4.7m)

Was subbed at half time against Liverpool for the more attacking Ramirez.  He has started the last 15 and only 4 times not played the 90.  1 goal and an assist and 2 returning games in the last 5.  Has a good share of set pieces.   Fantasy premier league point every 20.6 minutes is good for the  cheapie value.

Reasonable fixtures and no blank in GW29.  No DGW31.

Crystal Palace (A)
Norwich (H)
Tottenham (A)
Newcastle (H)
Man City (A)

4. Livermore (£4.7m)

1 goals and 2 assists and 2 returning games in the last 5.      Becoming a good box to box player with Huddlestone sitting.  Especially strong on the counter attack.    Started every game except 3.  Fantasy premier league point every 25.4  minutes which is very poor but this is about becoming a better attacking player as the season has progressed.   Blank in GW29.   DGW31

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Gameweek 29
Man City (H)
West Brom (H)
West Ham (A)
Stoke City (A)
Swansea (H)
Man Utd (A)

5.  Nathan Dyer (£5.1m)

1 goals and 2 assist and 2 returning games in the last 5.     Plays on the flank but very forward thinking and shot orientated.  Seems to have his place back having started the last 5.     Fantasy premier league point every 18.3 minutes which is very good for the value. Blank in GW29.    DGW31 but difficult games

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Gameweek 29
West Brom (H)
Everton (A)DGW31
Arsenal (A)DGW31
Norwich (H)
Hull City (A)
Chelsea (H)

6.  Tom Ince (£5.5m)

Taken off at half time against Swansea but only hiccup so far.  1 goal and 1 assist in his first 3 games, 1 of which was returning.  Starting centrally but played wide against Swansea.  3 games only played so requires some faith to stay with him.    25 goals and 20 assists in 67 games in the Championship for Blackpool is a fantastic record and shows the basic talent.   No blank in GW29  although have the postponed game at Everton as an extra game
