Heres my 2nd review of the game week for fantasy premier league game week 2 by match and then a summary of the leading data. Just to remind you I wont mention shooting stats or chances created if the player did less than 3 of either in the match
Heres the structure by game:
1. match line ups
2 possession stats
3. match shot stats
4. Barclays fantasy premier league goals assists and bonus ‘
5. telegraph fantasy football goals and assists summary
6. shooting stats by player
7. a short paragraph re the game
Then to wrap it up at the end I will give the top 10 shooting stats for the game week for midfielders and forwards. I will aggregate them when we get to GW4. Just because they are in the top 10 stats means they wont necessarily be in the 12w list. That will depend on game time and positional prospects plus upcoming fixtures. its a mammoth read so hope you find it useful. Stats are from BBC football

6. player shooting stats
Leading shooting stats went to Rafael, Kagawa, Young, Ruiz. Interestingly RVP only had 1 shot which doesnt bode well for the future. Leading chances created were by Ruiz Valencia Dembele and RVP
7. Rooney was surprisingly dropped and Anderson surprisingly started. Rafael started at the open RB position and was the leading attacking force amazingly although his wandering out of position made David Luiz look disciplined. Its hard to see SAF trusting him in away games and Valencia may be forced back in those games. The game was extremely open and united could have been out of sight in the first half but unbelieveably sloppy defending and goal keeping. £4.5m cheapie kacanliklic started again ad is a viable alternative to Guthre for those looking to transfer out the Reading player

the defence was changed except for Russell Martin and benefitted greatly as a result. Snodgrass and PIlkington are looking like making a case as a viable option once fixtures improve. Clint Hill kept his place and Onouha was the scapegoat for last week replaced by Traore. Holt and Cisse have yet to make a stats impression.

Vertonghen and Gallas and gallas looks like an opportunity for the cheapest way in to the defence. VDV started surprisingly but only played 60 minutes. Equally surprisingly Siggy was on the bench for some unknown reason. is there some wierd AVB rotation going on here? Bale returned to those underlying stats that game 1 didnt show and looks the only attacking option at the moment now that Adebayor has cast doubt on Deefoe
WBA just wouldnt be denied n the end and as fixtures get easier Ridgewell becomes a viable defensive option as does Morrison as an attacking one. If Lukaku can start then watch out he looks dynamite

Hazard was the only player to get past the threshold for Chelsea and Cisse and Ba did so for Newcastle. No one passed the threshold for either team on chances created. Interestingly Torres did very little apart from the returns and mata did zero.
7. Lamps and Ramires rested and Terry injured. Newcastle as expected apart from the Tiote injury. Hazard looks the real deal although it will be interesting to see how things work when fixtures get tougher but at the moment he looks the way in to the Chelsea attack. Im still sceptical over Torres and Mata is a sell if you are unlucky enough to have him. Newcastle looked surprisingly resilient and Cisse and Ba both produced good performances.

Cazorla lead the way although most were speculative outside the box. Giroud and Crouch then followed. In chances created Arteta and Giroud led the way.
7. A normal Arsenal v stoke encounter where rugby meets possession football. Big selection surprise was the benching of Walcott. Arsenal though look a stronger defensive outfit where Jenkinson is a good short term option. Cazorla and seems the main midfield threat and in the wait for better fixtures Giroud needs monitoring to see whether he becomes a viable option. Nothing surprising from stoke and good fixtures are sometime away. Begovic looks the Gk of choice and is a strong £4.5m option.

7. comment
Mancini left Silva and Lescott on the bench. Attacking wise then it seems that no one except YYT and Tevez are safe from rotation and Nasri and Silva have to have a cloud over them as rotation fodder in at least away games. It seems also that only Kompany and Zabelata are safe in defence although how much of a big deal it is when the so called (by me mainly!) best defence in the league has conceded 2 goals in consecutive weeks is a moot point. The next home game to QPR will be very interesting clean sheet wise.
Rodgers also shows he can rotate with the best with Coates coming in and Enrique on the bench for Kelly. Downings game time seems seriously under pressure after the performance fro cheapie £4.5m Raheem Sterling. However I wouldn’t jump on this bandwagon as new signing Sahin will be first in line I would have thought.
The game swung back and forth but it was Tevez who showed how deadly he can be and how he can influence a game with a goal and assist. On the other and Suarez despite his fantastic free kick showed again for all his excellent build up play he just cant hit a barn door in front of goal.
