Here’s my view of the fantasy premier league bandwagons and sinking ships for GW21 up coming. If your’e not familiar these are the 5 most transferred in and the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek. Remember FA Cup games are happening before the next gameweek so there is additional risk in early transfers
The fantasy premier league bandwagons
Rodriguez
If your’re trying to fit in Walcott Hazard and Silva/YYT into your team you may need to think about a cheaper striker than the Rooney Suarez and Lukaku threesome. Rodriguez is definitely an option here. He’s not started 13 consecutive games so he’s not a rotation problem like Osvaldo and Lambert. He even played as the only striker on the weekend. Although he’s blanked in the last 2 difficult games before that he scored 5 goals and an assist in 6 games. His next 6 games have a few decent fixtures in them as well. He’s a buy if you need the cash to bolster your midfield

Walcott
Been sensational since his return to the team. In the 5 games started he’s scored 5 goals and an assist. Keeps very advanced position. Will be even more lethal with Ozil feeding through balls to him on Ozils return. Reasonable fixtures on the way as well

Koscielny
The cheaper alternative to Mertesacker. Arsenal with Everton are my 2 top defensive sides at the moment so coverage is desirable. Hasn’t got the attacking returns but has got 2 clean sheets in his last 2 games and 2 bonus points in each of those games. Arsenal have got 8 clean sheets in their last 12 games. A Buy if you can’t afford Mertesacker

Hazard
Has really upped his consistency and if you go back to GW11 he’s returned in 7 of the 10 games played since. He’s even returned in 3 out of the 5 away games. Continues to be immune from rotation in the premier league as only not started 1 game. Interestingly owned by 10 of the 10 fantasy premier league managers teams I’ve analysed. Form at the moment means that fixtures aren’t that relevant. They are a little mixed. A definite BUY

Adebayor
It was only 2 season ago that he scored 17 goals and 12 assists and finished at £9.2m cost. At £7.7m he’s a bargain. Sherwood has turned Spurs into a much more attacking side. It was interesting against Man Utd he also played 4-4-2 although you could say depending on where you thought Rooney was he was just matching up. 3 goals and 2 assists in the 4 games since returning is a great return. Palace at home, even with improvement are an attractive fixture. A Buy again if you want to release some funds for your midfield or defence. Fixtures are a little mixed

Giroud
An ankle injury although in theory expected back for GW21. Walcott seems the better option at the moment for Arsenal coverage. This also frees up a forward position where there’s more options. A Sell for me

Jagielka
Out to the end of the January injured. Could be back then for GW23. A sell for me. Upgrade to Coleman at £6.7m or if you’re feeling very bold Baines at £7.4m with only 14% ownership. Alcaraz is the cheap short term option at £4.3m

Negredo
The natural replacement for Aguero has been a disappointment to say the least. In his last 6 games he’s got 2 goals and an assist. He’s started 5 of those games but played more than 61 minutes in only 3. Considering City have scored 16 goals in those 6 games a return of 2 goals and an assist is pretty poor. Didn’t look great against Swansea either on the weekend. An away game to Newcastle isn’t necessarily going to be the tonic required either. The fixtures are a little mixed as well. Pellegrini has talked about splitting him and Dzeko but did (in Silvas absence mind) play 4-4-2 against Swansea. With Cardiff at home after Newcastle away there’s no need to panic in my mind but there are good alternatives at the moment.

Ozil
According to Physio room could be back for GW21. Personally I think Walcott is the better option than Ozil so a straight swap is where I would go but Ozil has been a good performer although drifting off a little. I would still sell for Walcott if you haven’t already

Ivanovic
Out to the end of the month with an injury which is gameweek 23. Better alternatives in Terry at £6.6m who will get goals and bonus points or the value option of Azpilicueta £5.3m. Chelsea are finally showing some defensive form and its now 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games

That’s it. Normal service will be resumed on articles with “ones to watch” fixture ease etc returning now that there are normal game week intervals
