We’ve also added good fixture clumps at the end for you to be aware of before transfers in and out.

An introduction

My intention at the moment is to take the fixture difficulty ranking from the Official FPL site with some slight adjustments. That schedule doesn’t differentiate between attack and defence and is an overall ranking. You will see their fixture difficulty when you look at a player in detail on the FPL site.

The schedule below uses the official rankings to rank them from easiest at the top to hardest at the bottom. The order of the teams is for GW24-29. The figure in the right hand column is the ranking from from GW24-26

A word about GW27

GW27 is the weekend of the EFL Cup final between Chelsea and Man City.  Therefore with a midweek GW28 there is no room in GW27 for the 2 clubs fixtures.  The GW27 fixtures are:

Chelsea v Brighton and Everton v Man City.

They will be removed from gameweek 27.  They could potentially be moved for ward into GW25 as there is 8 or 9 days notice if the teams involved in the fixtures don’t have an FA Cup 4th round replay.  If not they could be moved back to GW32 or GW35.

There should be alot more clarity after the weekends 4th round FA Cup matches.

See my blanks and doubles article and also I talk about it more in my early FFGeek team article

The Schedule

The schedule assumes that in GW27 Everton v Man City and Chelsea v Brighton is postponed.  It doesn’t assume a location for those fixtures

Player suggestions

Here I give attacking and defensive player suggestions for players with good 6 week and 3 week fixtures. This week we’re looking at Man Utd, Southampton, C Palace, Brighton and Fulham

Man Utd

2 attacking players here for me. Rashford and Pogba

£7.7m Fwd Rashford has scored 8 goals and 7 assists in 15 starts plus 4 as sub at a PP90 of 6.3. He seems to have made the CF role his own.

£8.7m Mid Pogba has scored 8 goals and 8 assists in 19 starts plus 1 as sub at a PP90 of 6.1. He also has pens.

£5.0m Luke Shaw is still the best defensive option for me although was ill last week so  £4.8m Lindelof has started all of the last 7.

Burnley (H)
Leicester (A)
Fulham (A)
Liverpool (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Southampton (H)

Southampton

To me forward Danny Ings is still the only attacking option. If you’re feeling very brave you might also want to throw the dice with midfielder £5.2m Redmond.

£5.5m Fwd Ings has scored 7 goals and 1 assist in 14 starts plus 2 as sub at a PP90 of 5.6. He also has pen duties.

£5.2m Mid Redmond has scored 2 goals and 2 assists in 22 starts plus 1 as sub at a PP90 of 3.1.  He played as Ing’s strike partner in GW23 and has played a number of games as a CAM.

In defence I would go for cheapie Bednarek at £3.9m who’s started the last 8

Crystal Palace (H)
Burnley (A)
Cardiff (H)
Arsenal (A)
Fulham (H)
Man Utd (A)

C Palace

I wouldn’t particularly be looking at any Palace players from an attacking standpoint but if you were desperate for representation then there’s fwd Zaha or Mid Townsend

£6.7m Fwd Zaha has scored 3 goals and 5 assists in 20 starts plus 0 as sub at a PP90 of 3.2.  He tends to play as a left sided forward or winger which is the big disadvantage.

£5.8m Mid Townsend has scored 4 goals and 2 assists in 23 starts plus 0 as sub at a PP90 of 3.7.

£4.5m def Wan Bissaka would be my defensive choice

Southampton (A)
Fulham (H)
West Ham (H)
Leicester (A)
Man Utd (H)
Burnley (A)

Brighton

No one from an attacking sense for me and defensively I’d go for slightly better attacking potential from £4.6m Duffy over £4.5m Dunk

Fulham (A)
Watford (H)
Burnley (H)
Chelsea (A)
Leicester (A)
Huddersfield (H)

Fulham

Just CF Mitrovic for me here

£6.5m Fwd Mitrovic has scored 8 goals and 3 assists in 23 starts plus 0 as sub at a PP90 of 4.0.  He has penalty duties.

Brighton (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Man Utd (H)
West Ham (A)
Southampton (A)
Chelsea (H)

Some good short term future fixture clumps upcoming

Arsenal

GW26  Huddersfield (A)
GW27  Southampton (H)
GW28  Bournemouth (H)
Only Aubameyang in attack until selection gets more predictable. Defence needs monitoring but Kolasinac for the moment.

Wolves

GW26 Newcastle (H)
GW27 Bournemouth (A)
GW28 Huddersfield (A)
GW29 Cardiff (H)

Forward Jimenez and a punt on midfielder Jota are the only attacking options for me and defence is Jonny as we wait for the implications of Doherty being dropped

Leicester

GW27 Crystal Palace (H)
GW28 Brighton (H)
GW29 Watford (A)
GW30 Fulham (H)
GW31 Burnley (A)
GW32 Bournemouth (H)
GW33 Huddersfield (A)
GW34 Newcastle (H)

Vardy in attack and Periera in defence for me at the moment.
