PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

I normally only give attacking player suggestions for teams that have the best ranked fixtures for the first 3 and the first 6 games. This is the case this week.

 BRIGHTON

The striker situation has changed by the arrival of Jurgen Locadia from PSV.  Here’s some basic stats.

This season he’s started 14 games in the league plus 1 as a sub for 9 goals and 6 assists at a goal or assist every 83 minutes

In 16/17 he started 9 games plus 5 as sub for 3 goals and 3 assists at a goal or assist every 127 minutes

He’s 24 played for the Dutch under 21 team but uncapped for the Netherlands

So a decent record.  How it translates to the PL is the question. He’s not priced in FPL as I write this.  He’s the club record signing so I suspect he will start.

If you’re desperate for representation then there’s £5.8m Mid Pascal Gross.  He’s the set piece man.  He offers virtually no goal threat and even his assist numbers are only ok.  He’s blanked in the last 4 and it’s only 1 goal in his last 10 starts plus 2 as sub.  His minutes are also being eroded and we’ve seen him become more of a substitution magnet recently

WEST HAM

As for last 2 weeks still the same 2 players for me here. £7.1m Mid Arnautovic is the one. 6 goals and an 4 assists in his last 8 games after a pretty poor start. His underlying underlying stats are good and he also has had the huge advantage of being an FPL midfielder playing as a striker with  seemingly either out of favour or injury riddled competition for the forward berth.

£6.9m Mid Lanzini was my other choice but he’s currently injured with a hamstring strain and no return date
