An introduction

I’ve taken the fixture difficulty ranking from the Official FPL site with some slight adjustments. That schedule doesn’t differentiate between attack and defence and is an overall ranking. You will see their fixture difficulty when you look at a player in detail on the FPL site.

The schedule below uses the official rankings to rank them from easiest at the top to hardest at the bottom.

Player suggestions

NOTE:  the stats don’t include Tuesday and Wednesdays GW35 games.  Player values as of Tuesday 23rd April.

Here I give attacking and defensive player suggestions for the top 6 teams in the schedule.

C Palace

Zaha and Milivojevic would be my attacking players of choice

£6.8m Fwd Zaha has scored 9 goals and 8 assists in 31 starts plus 0 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 4.0.

£6.4m Mid Milivojevic has scored 12 goals and 2 assists in 35 starts plus 0 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 4.6. He is the designated penalty taker and that is where a significant proportion of his goals have come

Defender wise I would go for the attacking potential of £5.5m Van Aanholt or the cheap CB Kelly at £3.9m

GW36 Everton (H)
GW37 Cardiff (A)
GW38 Bournemouth (H)

Southampton

Ings has been an injury risk and has seen a fall off in his stats. James Ward Prowse is the set piece taker and Redmond is the midfielder lining up as a striker.

£5.1m Mid Ward Prowse has scored 6 goals and 0 assists in 18 starts plus 4 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 4.4. He is the set piece man.  He played RB in the absence of Valery which was a bit disconcerting.

£5.4m Mid Redmond has scored 5 goals and 4 assists in 33 starts plus 1 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 3.6.  He is often playing as a forward in a strike pair.

£5.4m Fwd Ings has scored 7 goals and 2 assists in 20 starts plus 1 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 5.1. He is the designated penalty taker.  His injury record has made him vulnerable to missing games and early substitutions.

£4.4m CDM Hojbjerg should play both games and has shown more box to box potential recently

Defensively I’d probably go with £4.1m Yoshida.

GW36 Bournemouth (H)
GW37 West Ham (A)
GW38 Huddersfield (H)

Fulham

In attack it’s Mitrovic and Babel for me

£5.5m Mid Babel has scored 4 goals and 4 assists in 13 starts plus 0 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 5.4.

£6.3m Fwd Mitrovic has scored 11 goals and 4 assists in 34 starts plus 0 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 3.8.  He is the designated penalty taker.

Defensively I’d go for £4.2m Calum Chambers.

GW36 Cardiff (H)
GW37 Wolves (A)
GW38 Newcastle (H)

Cardiff

Only CAM Camarasa for me here.  Alot of chopping and changing by Warnock doesn’t help

£4.4m Mid Camarasa has scored 5 goals and 4 assists in 29 starts plus 1 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 3.7.  He is the designated penalty taker and has some set piece responsibility.

Defensively £4.7m Morrison is the attacking threat.  £3.9m Peltier is the cheap option

GW36 Fulham (A)
GW37 Crystal Palace (H)
GW38 Man Utd (A)

Everton

With Richarlison an injury doubt I’ve gone for forward Dominic Calvert Lewin and Midfielder Sigurdsson

£7.3m Mid Sigurdsson has scored 13 goals and 5 assists in 33 starts plus 2 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 5.4.  He is the designated penalty taker and has some set piece responsibility.

£5.4m Fwd Calvert Lewin has scored 6 goals and 5 assists in 17 starts plus 16 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 4.9.

Defensively I’d go for full backs £5.3m Digne or £5.2m Coleman

GW36 Crystal Palace (A)
GW37 Burnley (H)
GW38 Spurs (A)

Liverpool

The front 3 are the attacking options here in Salah, Mane and Firmino

£9.3m Fwd Firmino has scored 12 goals and 8 assists in 31 starts plus 3 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 5.5.

£13.2m Mid Salah has scored 19 goals and 11 assists in 34 starts plus 1 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 6.9.

£10.0m Mid Mane has scored 18 goals and 3 assists in 32 starts plus 1 as sub at a PP90 over the season of 6.4.

Defensively you’ve got £5.6m Alexander Arnold, £6.8m Robertson or £6.6m Van Dijk.

GW36 Huddersfield (H)
GW37 Newcastle (A)
GW38 Wolves (H)
