As I said above there’s a table where I’ve ranked the players but there’s a load of stats to help you make your own decision.  There’s also a key below the table to explain the stats and then some narrative on the player plus the next 6 fixtures.

Sanchez

Everything going for him at the moment.  Playing as a striker in 4-4-2, great form with 45 points in his last 3 games and arguably the best underlying stats of any midfielder.  Fixtures are a little mixed is only negative

Swansea (A)
Man Utd (H)
West Brom (A)
Southampton (H)
Stoke (A)
Newcastle (H)

Oscar

Finding his shooting boots now after 3 goals in his last 5 games.  Great shooting stats and a central attacking position plus good fixtures.  Only question is rotation as rested in 2 games so far this season.  Only played 45 minutes against Maribor so odds look good for a start against Liverpool

Liverpool (A)
West Brom (H)
Sunderland (A)
Spurs (H)
Newcastle (A)
Hull (H)

Hazard

Appaling penalty miss but an otherwise excellent game against Maribor when he played 90 minutes.  Doesn’t appear rotatable and has played every game so far.  Disappointing underlying stats but has played some excellent games along with some invisible ones.  Good fixtures.  Should still take pens

Liverpool (A)
West Brom (H)
Sunderland (A)
Spurs (H)
Newcastle (A)
Hull (H)

Chadli

Hard to believe it’s the same player as he consistently keeps rolling up the goals.  Great shooting stats and better than any other midfielder.  A couple of tricky fixtures along side some good ones

Stoke (H)
Hull (A)
Everton (H)
Chelsea (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Swansea (A)

Di Maria

3 fantastic home games in the next 4 and the ability to score big is the attraction here.  Great underlying shooting and creating chances stats.  Plus has an excellent share of set pieces

Crystal Palace (H)
Arsenal (A)
Hull (H)
Stoke (H)
Southampton (A)
Liverpool (H)

Fabregas

The most consistent returner of any midfielder but lack of shooting due to a relatively deep position means he’s unable to get big scores and this has limited his returns.  Good fixtures

Liverpool (A)
West Brom (H)
Sunderland (A)
Spurs (H)
Newcastle (A)
Hull (H)

Sterling

On the bench for tactical reasons against Real Madrid if you believe Rodgers or if you don’t rested because they had given up on any chance of getting anything from the game.  Whatever it should make him fresh for the weekend although that is against Chelsea.  Unfortunately shunted out on the wing recently and it’s seen a martked drop in his shooting stats and returns

Chelsea (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Stoke (H)
Leicester (A)
Sunderland (H)
Man Utd (A)

Tadic

2 great fixtures before they turn difficult.  Only 1 real great return and apart from that it’s a pretty ordinary campaign.  Good underlying stats but really it’s only a couple of games to go before he will probably be sold by a number of people.  Has pens and a good share of set pieces.

Leicester (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Man City (H)
Arsenal (A)
Man Utd (H)
Burnley (A)

Siggy

2 tough fixtures before 2 excellent ones after that.  Add to the 2 tough fixtures the fact that he hasn’t scored since GW1 and that it’s only 2 returning games in the last 7.  No underlying shooting or creating chances stats.

Arsenal (H)
Man City (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
QPR (H)
West Ham (A)
Spurs (H)

Downing

Good value for a player in a team scoring so many goals who’s playing as a CAM.  A goal and an assist against Stoke and reasonable fixtures coming up.  Good creating chances stats and recently improved the shooting stats

Aston Villa (H)
Everton (A)
Newcastle (H)
West Brom (A)
Swansea (H)
Sunderland (A)
