It should be noted that a few of the contributors are wavering on the basis that Salah played 120 minutes in the Super Cup on Wednesday and are thinking of switching to Sterling.

Salah vs Sterling stats

Salah away vs non top 6 stats in 18/19

Sterling vs top 6 at home in 18/19

Summary

Arsenal and Aubameyang are the favourites with the bookies and Sterling by a small margin has smaller odds than Salah

The polls are overwhemingly with Salah in terms of who is going to be FPL managers captain

The stats despite Sterling being against top 6 sides vs Salah against non top 6 sides are close.  However Sterlings were concentrated in 2 games and you can see that the game against Spurs last season was much tighter.

The FFGeek view

I’m definitely going with Salah.  While like everyone I’m concerned about Salah playing 120 minutes on Wednesday I don’t want to go against a poll for a highly owned player who can be very explosive.  Everyone who voted in that poll which was put up on Thursday had the information regarding the Super Cup minutes.

I think the outcome of the game could depend on whether Poch decides to go toe to toe with Pep or has to chase the game as that could end up in a big score.  If he plays very defensively  then that could make it a low scoring affair.

Good luck whoever you choose
