The fixtures
Bookies team to win odds
Unfortunately with the fixtures spread over such a long period there are very few odds for the games. Here’s the leading teams odds to win though with some player suggestions:
Man City £1.08 – Aguero, De Bruyne, Sterling
Liverpool £1.32 – Salah, Firmino, Alexander Arnold
Arsenal £1.40 – Aubameyang, Lacazette
Everton £1.63 – Calvert Lewin, Richarlison
Southampton £1.70 – Ings
Sheffield United £1.73 – no one in attack
Spurs £1.78 – Son, Moura, Bergwijn, Alli
The Captain Poll results
The FFGeek captain poll asks who will be your captain? Thanks for taking the time to vote
Other FPL polls
Here’s a selection of results from other polls:
Poll 1 is the highest traffic site and asks who is the best captain
There are 2 twitter polls which ask who your captain will be. Only 1 this week though
The last 1 is a low volume site poll where there is no question.
n/a means that player isn’t in the poll
The FFGeek contributor captain picks
The article is a bit earlier than normal so there’s only 7 contributors
Stats comparison
As far as Salah is concerned with Mane injured it seems more likely that he is rested before the UCL tie 3 days later than Salah.
With Man City being early in the gameweek you’d think Pep would put out a strong team. There UCL match isn’t until the 26th
Salah away selected matches
Aguero home selected matches
Defences
Here’s an overall summary of the defences;
Summary
I suspect both players will start although Man City is very difficult to predict
There’s no anytime goalscorer odds but Man City are the shortest odds to win at home
The Polls are resoundingly with Salah with others reasonably far behind
The 7 FFGeek contributors all have gone for Salah.
The stats against similar teams favour Aguero quite resoundingly. The question is will he definitely start
Salah will take pens if Milner is off the field. Who knows who will take a Man City penalty at this point.
The FFGeek choice
I don’t have Aguero anyway but I wouldn’t go against the polls with this margin. I don’t know if I had Aguero whether I would make him captain. If he did start I would probably bank on him outscoring Salah.
Good luck whoever you choose
