Otamendi
The issue with Otamendi and Stones is what happens if and when Kompany is fit. In theory that’s soon. Otamendi also has a potential issue coming back from the International break playing at altitude against Ecuador.
Mbemba
Left out of the squad against Liverpool which may have been due to a training ground bust up. Manquillo did himself no harm so at the moment he has to be considered a gametime risk.
Wimmer
With Shawcross and Martins Indi to come back over the next week or 2 that makes it 4 CBs to go into a back 3 if Hughes sticks with that formation. I’m not saying he won’t hold his place it’s just a risk.
