The issue with Otamendi and Stones is what happens if and when Kompany is fit. In theory that’s soon although Pep, obviously frustrated, has left it to Kompany to tell the Club when he’s fit.
Everton
Just when you thought you could rely on Martina after 3 consecutive starts as an RB Koeman puts Holgate there. It also doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a back 3 or a back 4 either. Anyone could be picked. I know you’re in the Europa League but could you please just make up your mind
Wimmer
Very cheap and kept Martins Indi on the bench until 46 minutes when he was subbed off which is not a good sign. Hughes also played a back 4. After the Man City game hard to think there won’t be casualties. Once or if Shawcross is fit (no return date as yet) there is Zouma and Martins Indi to compete against. 4 players for 3 or 2 spots.
