Firstly here’s the team. 2 transfers both were free. Mitrovic out and Carroll in and Walker out and Reid in
The transfers
Well in the end I didn’t take any hits after alot of thinking. The Carroll transfer was easy. Much as I hate the thought of taking someone out who’s playing Villa next Mitorvic was certain not to start so he was the best way out. I would have preffered to have Cresswell in instead of Reid but just didn’t have the cash. I could have taken Kane out as there has to be a reasonable chance of him being rested . That would have given me the money for Cresswell. If I had taken it further then I could have taken a minus 8 and put in Defoe for Kane and then put Hazard in for Coutinho.
At the moment the team looks pretty ordinary. 7 DGW players. 2 of these are Lingard and Coutinho who seem certain to play just the 1 game each.
I could still do it but 8 points down with 2 games to go seems a big risk.
The team selection
I didn’t think Mignolet would play 2 games so Robles got the nod.
The defensive choice was simple. Both I and the bookies went for Palace as the first choice defender. Then we both agreed it was Leicester followed by Arsenal.
Iwobi on the bench was a natural choice.
The Captain choice
Triple captain Payet was the choice and there wasn’t another option really apart from Carroll. A Captain article will follow tomorrow.
By the way be careful with the triple captain activation and check it has been ativated as it gave me some problems.
