fantasy premier league DGW37 tips – the bandwagons and sinking ships

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s our fantasy premier league DGW37 tips article where we outline the bandwagons and sinking ships so far for the Double Gameweek 37. These are the 5 most transferred in and out players so far in the gameweek. Just a reminder that these are purely driven by stats from the FPL site and not my view of them. There’s a table of stats for easy comparison followed by the ususal narrative and the fixtures to the end of the season

So the new format sees a table of stats for easy reference of the various players with narrative and the fixtures below the table to the end of the season. The table also has a key to understand the headings. There’s a table of stats plus a key beneath. Below that there’s some narrative on each player plus the fixtures to the end of the season. I also specifically point out DGW37.

The Bandwagons

These are the 5 most transferred in players so far in the gameweek

Noble

4 goals in your last 2 games is always going to get you attention.  Add a double gameweek and a cheap price and you’re guaranteed to get transfers in.  However 4 goals is as many as he’s got in a season in the last 8 seasons.  Does have pens.  DGW37.  West Ham still have an outside chance of 4th and definitely European football to play for.

Gameweek 37 Man Utd (H)
Gameweek 38 Stoke (A)

Payet

For those still with a triple captain up their sleeve like myself he’s one of the natural favourites.  Has been sensational all season.  Very consistent , in reasonable form and has set piece responsibility.  DGW37.

Gameweek 37 Swansea (H)
Gameweek 37 Man Utd (H)
Gameweek 38 Stoke (A)

Martial

In an attacking wasteland Martial is probably one of the better options if you want some Man Utd attacking coverage.  Playing wide and being classified as a striker isn’t ideal.  Also has very little in the way of underlying shooting stats.  DGW37.  Man Utd also have 4th place to play for.

Gameweek 37 Watford (H)
Gameweek 37 Chelsea (H)
Gameweek 38 West Brom (A)

Cresswell

The West Ham defence hasn’t been particularly reliable this year and I’ve consistently rated it quite low.  However double gameweeks are all about rolling the dice and the West Ham defence is a case of whether you go for the attacking potential of LB Cresswell or the cheaper £4.8m CB Reid.  DGW37

Gameweek 37 Swansea (H)
Gameweek 37 Man Utd (H)
Gameweek 38 Stoke (A)

Hazard

A goal as sub against Spurs and some pretty decent reasonble form (including a master class at Bournemouth) has brought last years player of the year to everyones attention with a DGW ahead.  Could have pens although thats very much up in the air.  2 away games isn’t ideal and neither is fact that Chelsea have nothing to play for.  Hiddink has also been rotating as well which adds risk.  DGW37

Gameweek 37 Sunderland (A)
Gameweek 37 Liverpool (A)
Gameweek 38 Leicester (H)

The Sinking Ships

These are the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek

Alli

Suspended for rest of the season for the “punch” on WBA’s  agent provocateur Yacob.  Son will probably be the replacement

Gameweek 37 Southampton (H)
Gameweek 38 Newcastle (A)

Aguero

Interesting one this.  On the one hand you’ve got the leagues best striker with massive ownership and penalty duties.  Also Man City still aren’t secure in 4th place by any stretch so will he be rested?  So why take the ranking risk?  On the other hand it’s Arsenal next which is a tricky game and he’s just played an energy sapping game UCL game against Real Madrid.  Thats the decision you need to make.  Has pens.

Gameweek 37 Arsenal (H)
Gameweek 38 Swansea (A)

Ozil

Earlier in the season Mr Consistency was exactly that.  However that has now fallen off a cliff.  Underlying creating chances stats are still good and they are the best over the season and in the last 6 which does give some hope.  However no DGW and away to City next with that form is always going to see transfers out

Gameweek 37 Man City (A)
Gameweek 38 Aston Villa (H)

Alderweireld

I don’t think Spurs can finish lower than 3rd and therefore it’s questionable how seriously Spurs will take the rest of the games. Alderweireld has played every game and with Wimmer an able deputy it wouldn’t be a shock if he was rested.  It’s only whether the manager feels a moral obligation to do so against Newcastle to be fair to the relegation battle.

Gameweek 37 Southampton (H)
Gameweek 38 Newcastle (A)

Kane

If anyone is likely to be rested in the Spurs line up it’s Kane.  Blistering form and high ownership prior to these sales are the risks if he isn’t

Gameweek 38 Newcastle (A)
