With Everton having a double gameweek in fantasy premier league gameweek 33 you’ll probably have Fellaini as a banker but what about if, like me you’re thinking of Pienaar or Osman as an additional option.  Which one is better?  I’ve had a look at a number of stats in helping make that decision.   Firstly lets look at their returns

it should be noted that despite how good the last 4 starts look both have been on a relative dry spell.  Pienaar for example has apart from the Reading game where he got a goal and an assist has not returned in his last 9 starts.  Osman has returned in his last 3.

Now lets look at their underlying stats which are a little surprising.  Whether looking at the whole season or the last 6 gameweeks the fllowing stats are consistent.  Pienaar is a far more involved player in the attacking areas with more touches and and passes received.  He also has more pen box touches and creates numerous more chances for his team mates. Pienaar also holds an average higher position up the pitch.

Over the season Osman has had slightly more shots in the box but Pienaar has been slightly better over the last 6 game weeks.

Summary

Pienaar has superior returns and underlying stats in all departments apart from points in the last 4 starts and shots in the box slightly over the season where Osman is superior.  For that reason although its close I’m going for Pienaar
