Introduction
The strength of the defence or attacking teams are based on the averages of their expected goals for/against and their actual goals for/against with a general adjustment for home and away. . The teams are then divided up into 5 colours of 8 home/away teams each. The rankings and colours are therefore purely factual so please don’t moan to me about the order.
It’s worth noting that Aston Villa v Everton has still to be rescheduled and could conceivably be in GW28. Spurs v Southampton also needs to be rescheduled.
Player values and PPMs are as of Monday 1 March
A fixture ease schedule for attacking players
Here’s a graphic where the teams are ranked by the ease of the defences they face over the next 5 gameweeks. It’s important to note that the DGW doesn’t in itself enhance the fixture ranking. It’s just an extra fixture which in most cases is balanced by the loss of that fixture in GW29. There’s attacking player suggestions below.
Attacking player stats
Here I’ve picked out the 5 teams with the best fixtures. They are Man City, Brighton, Newcastle, Southampton and Chelsea. I’ve included their 20/21 PPM
