Important note before going further

I’ve now changed the focus to the last 10 gameweeks rather than the season

The first schedule ranks players by their underlying stats expected goal and assists converted to FPL points in the last 10 gameweeks . Those who are expected to be the penalty taker have an * next to their name.

The F Ease is the fixture ease ranking.

The value for money VFM ratio is the total expected points from their underlying stats divided by their price

The 2nd schedule shows their xG90 (expected goals) and xA90 (expected assists) plus their shots per 90 and key passes per 90.

ATGS is the anytime goalscorer odds

I talk about DGW and BGWs below

I’ve already posted the defender rankings and midfield player rankings

Player values and PPMs are as of Wednesday 21 April before any matches.

The schedule ranked by Forwardss underlying stats over the last 10 Gameweeks

Here is the link to the google spreadsheet. You can go to file>make a copy and then sort it how you like. 200 mins needed to qualify. Underlying Stats are from the free site understat.com

DGW/BGW assumptions

What is known is that GW33 is a blank week for Man City, Spurs, Fulham and Southampton

Aston Villa v Everton and Palace v Southampton still need to be rearranged somewhere

I’ve made the assumption that the proposed changes for allowing fans into the stadium for the last 2 gameweeks will go ahead and that the 2 above games will also go into GW35.

You can see how that plays out in the Fixture ease schedule below. Essentially some teams have a DGW35 followed by a BGW36 and the 4 teams above will have a DGW plus a game in GW36

This is not guaranteed and hasn’t been announced but seems a sensible assumption

The fixture ease ranking isn’t affected as it takes into account all games on an aggregate basis to the end of the season

Iheanacho

7 goals in 6 starts since coming into the team. Great quality and volume underlying stats plus good fixtures. Hard to see him losing his place on current form when Maddison and Barnes are back. I can see Rodgers moving away from his favoured 4-1-4-1 to accomodate him

Jesus

Has surprisingly started the last 3 scoring twice in the process. Underlying stats quality wise are excellent even if volumes are a little underwhelming.

Rotation will always be a risk though and he’s not cheap.

Fixtures could be better

Chris Wood

Definitely a surprise to see him so high in the rankings but his form is good with 3 goals and 2 assists in the 6 starts since coming back from injury. Underlying stats have been very good in 4 of the last 5 and he’s also getting plenty of shots which had looked to be a concern. The only negative is that it’s hard to trust Burnley as an attacking force

Vardy

Been a bit of a disappointment of late with only 1 game in the last 6 where he’s returned a goal or assist. That was a 3 assist performance v Sheff Utd but still it’s hardly positive. Apart from that game he’s been pretty poor underlying stats wise in 6 of those last 7.

In essence if you believe class is permanent and form temporary with the next 4 fixtures he would be a great pick.

Richarlison

Has now gone 5 games without returning a goal or assist which interestingly followed 4 consecutive games of scoring. His underlying stats though are generally ok and in those 5 games there have been 2 excellent performances at least.

Arsenal isn’t the best entry point but fixtures to the end of the season are good and he hopefully will have a double GW35 without a blank GW36

Diagne

a goal and 2 assists in his last 2 came after 5 consecutive blanks. Even in the 5 games where he blanked there was enough to suggest that he would come right. To be fair Big Sam had yet to let the team off the leash at that stage as well.

Fixtures are a bit mixed though

Bamford

1 goal and 2 assists in his last 7 suggests a slow down after the excellent early season form. However in those 7, 4 of the games have been excellent even if overall the underlying stats have fallen off a bit

Of the remaining fixtures the next 3 are tricky but the last 3 are very good.

Vydra

Really in FPL as a cheap 3rd striker for your bench but started 7 consecutive games from GW25 with 3 goals and an assist before his benching in GW32 v Man Utd. I have assumed that was to improve the midfield for a tough fixture rather than a sign of things to come.

Fixtures are generally good but like I said for Wood it’s hard to trust Burnley as an attacking force

Welbeck

Started the last 5 and it’s a respectable 2 goals and an assist over that period. 3 of those 5 have produced good underlying stats as well.

Great entry point fixture vs Sheffield but fixtures aren’t the best after that

Cavani

Should see more gametime with Martial out possibly for the season. The caveat is the balance between the Europa and the PL with the top 4 position pretty secure and Greenwood and Rashford both able to play CF.

2 goals and an assist in his last 2 is a bit of form and 8 goals and 3 assists in 10 starts plus 11 as sub or a goal or assist every 103 minutes is pretty impressive to say the least.

Underlying stats have dipped somewhat recently but over the season they have been excellent

Fixtures are mixed but Leeds is still a reasonable entry point
